47. OMER COUNT: Day FORTY SEVEN/47

SHALOM!

Day 47 of the Omer, 3rd day of the Hebrew Month Sivan

DAILY PRAYER FOR THE COUNTING OF THE OMER:

Each day, one says the blessing:

Blessed are You, YAHUVEH our God, King of the universe, Who has sanctified us with His commandments and has commanded us concerning the counting of the Omer.
Today is the 47th day, which is 6 weeks and five days of the Omer. The Merciful One, may HE return to us the service of the Temple to its place, speedily in our days. Amen, Selah! IN YAHUSHUA’S NAME

Day 47 Omer Reading:

Majesty/Dignity (Malchut) We have completed 6 weeks counting to Shavuot

Sitting At The Feet Of Our Master YAHUSHUA

Bringing In The Sheaves (Omer Song)

Sowing in the morning, sowing seeds of kindness, Sowing in the noontide and the dewy eve; Waiting for the harvest, and the time of reaping, We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves.

Refrain:
Bringing in the sheaves, bringing in the sheaves, We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves; Bringing in the sheaves, bringing in the sheaves, We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves.
Sowing in the sunshine, sowing in the shadows, Fearing neither clouds nor winter’s chilling breeze; By and by the harvest, and the labor ended, We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves.
Going forth with weeping, sowing for the Master, Though the loss sustained our spirit often grieves; When our weeping’s over, He will bid us welcome, We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves.

We are coming close to Shavuot, what matters most, is not when we began to count the Omer after Passover, (because that argument has been going on since YAHUSHUA’s days) but are we walking in the Love of Messiah towards one another. Man looks at the outside, but YAHUVEH/GOD looks are our hearts.

  • Are we going to be rejoicing at the Feast of Shavuot and thanking him for His TORAH, For YAHUSHUA and for RUACH HA KODESH that HE gave us?

Or

Are we going to let the enemy steal our joy, by being critical and self- righteous towards one another.

During this 49 days of counting the Omer/Sheaves, have we emptied ourselfs of self, so we can be filled with Him?

What kind of fruit will we produce? Bitter or Sweet?

Bitter Fruit:

Galations 5:17

For the old nature wants what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit wants what is contrary to the old nature. These oppose each other, so that you find yourselves unable to carry out your good intentions. Gal 5:18 But if you are led by the Spirit, then you are not in subjection to the system that results from perverting the Torah into legalism.
Gal 5:19 And it is perfectly evident what the old nature does. It expresses itself in sexual immorality, impurity and indecency;
Gal 5:20 involvement with the occult and with drugs; in feuding, fighting, becoming jealous and getting angry; in selfish ambition, factionalism, intrigue

Gal 5:21 and envy; in drunkenness, orgies and things like these. I warn you now as I have warned you before: those who do such things will have no share in the Kingdom of God!

SWEET FRUIT:

Galations 5:22

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
Gal 5:23 humility, self control. Nothing in the TORAH stands against such things.
Gal 5:24 Moreover, those who belong to the Messiah YAHUSHUA have put their old nature to death on the stake, along with its passions and desires.
Gal 5:25 Since it is through the Spirit that we have Life, let it also be through the Spirit that we order our lives day by day.
Gal 5:26 Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.

The Megilat to be read for Shavuot is The Book Of Ruth/Rut

Here we have a story of selfless love, devotion to family, devotion to the God of Israel and a woman who was a convert to the God of Israel, wife, widow, lover, dauther-in-law, friend who became the great-great-grandmother of Kind David himself, and is named in the geneology of YAHUSHUA.

The story of Ruth takes place during the feast of Shavuot. She was not from the seed of Abraham, but from the nations, a Moabite, but today she is considered just as much a part of Israel, and a Jew, as any who was natural born.

Isn’t this a beautiful picture of the Wild Olive Branch being grafted into the Olive Tree? Boaz being from the seed of Avraham ‘The Natural Branch’and Ruth being the “Wild Olive Branch” from the nations, when they married they became one, (a picture of the the 2 sticks-becoming One Stick In His Hand-Romans 11) and from that union came King David…..King YAHUSHUA.

Ruth 1:16

But Ruth said, “Don’t press me to leave you and stop following you; for wherever you go, I will go; and wherever you stay, I will stay. Your people will be my people and your GOD will be my GOD.

Rth 1:17 Where you die, I will die; and there I will be buried. May YAHUVEH bring terrible curses on me, and worse ones as well, if anything but death separates you and me.”

Her love was unconditional in every way and she totally identified with the GOD of Israel and His people. Now that is Sweet Spiritual Fruit!
Boaz is also a picture of a man, who wanted to do what was right according to TORAH in marrying Ruth, by becoming her Kinsman Redeemer, a type of Messiah our Redeemer.

Ruth 4:8 So the redeemer said to Bo`az, “Buy it for yourself,” and took off his shoe.
Rth 4:9 Bo`az addressed the leaders and all the people: “You are witnesses today that I am purchasing from Na`omi all that belonged to Elimelekh and all that belonged to Kilyon and Machlon.
Rth 4:10 Also I am acquiring as my wife Ruth the woman from Mo’av, the wife of Machlon, in order to raise up in the name of the deceased an heir for his property; so that the name of the deceased will not be cut off from his kinsmen and from the gate of his place. You are witnesses today.”
Rth 4:11 All the people at the gate and the leaders said, “We are witnesses. May YAHUVEH make the woman who has come into your house like Rachel and like Le’ah, who between them built up the house of Isra’el. Do worthy deeds in Efrat; become renowned in Beit- Lechem.
Rth 4:12 May your house, because of the seed YAHUVEH will give you from this young woman, become like the house of Peretz, whom Tamar bore to Y’hudah.”
Rth 4:13 So Bo`az took Ruth, and she became his wife. He had sexual relations with her, YAHUVEH enabled her to conceive, and she gave birth to a son.
Rth 4:14 Then the women said to Na`omi, “Blessed be YAHUVEH, who today has provided you a redeemer! May his name be renowned in Isra’el.

Rth 4:15 May he restore your life and provide for your old age; for your daughter-in-law, who loves you and is better to you than seven sons, has given birth to him.”

Bo`az was the father of `Oved,

Rth 4:22 `Oved was the father of Yishai, and Yishai was the father of David.

Mat 1:5 Salmon was the father of Bo`az (his mother was Rachav), Bo`az was the father of `Oved (his mother was Ruth), `Oved was the father of Yishai,
Mat 1:6 Yishai was the father of David the king From King David To Messiah YAHUSHUA

Mat 1:16 Ya`akov was the father of Yosef the husband of Miryam, from whom was born the YAHUSHUA who was called the Messiah.

It is a beautiful Love story, but the greatest Love Story of them all is between YAHUSHUA and His Bride. May we have a heart like Ruth (woman) and righteous ways as Boaz (men). That our children can look back at our lives, and say “they were truly men and woman of YAH and it was because of their examples that I am serving YAHUSHUA today”

WE SHALL COME REJOICING BRINGING IN THE SHEAVES!
