Note that the woman touched YAHUSHUAHA MASHIACH’S tzitzit (a.k.a fringes) which are always found on the tallit-katan/vest as well as tallit/prayer shawl which all males are commanded to wear as a reminder to them not to sin against YAH Almighty!

The woman with the issue somehow knew that if YAHUSHUA was the promised MASHIACH/MESSIAH, there would be healing in HIS wings (fringes).

One important Jewish concept, which is often missed in English translations of the Holy Biblical Scriptures, concerns the story of a woman with an issue of blood, recorded in Matthew 9:20-21. Having heard that the MASHIACH was near, the woman said within herself, “If I may but touch HIS garment, I shall be whole.” The text indicates that it was specifically the hem of HIS garment that she touched, an important detail from an Hebraic viewpoint.

Certainly the woman with the issue of blood knew of these traditions, which would explain why she sought to touch the corner (the wings) of YAHUSHUA’S Prayer Garment Fringes or Vest Fringes. The same word used in Numbers 15:38 for corner is used in Malachi 4:2 for wings.

 

 

Back to the name of the woman, first, here’s The Gospel of Luke’s account:

⁴³ And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any,

⁴⁴ Came behind HIM, and touched the border of HIS garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched.

⁴⁵ And YAHUSHUA (JESUS) said, Who touched ME? When all denied, Peter and they that were with HIM said, MASTER, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched ME?

⁴⁶ And YAHUSHUA (JESUS)said, Somebody hath touched ME: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me.

⁴⁷ And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before HIM, she declared unto HIM before all the people for what cause she had touched HIM, and how she was healed immediately.

⁴⁸ And HE said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.

 

The answer/secret lies in “The Gospel of Nicodemus, formerly called The Acts of Pontius Pilate.”

Her name was:

VERONICA.

13 And the governor said, Speak what thou hast a mind.

14 And he said, I lay for thirty-eight years by the sheep-pool at Jerusalem, labouring under a great infirmity, and waiting for a cure which should be wrought by the coming of an angel, who at a certain time troubled the water; and whosoever first after the troubling of the water stepped in, was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.

36 But I said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldst come under my roof; but only speak the word, and my servant shall be healed.

41 Besides these, also many others of the Jews, both men and women, cried out and said, He is truly the Son of God, who cures all diseases only by his word, and to whom the devils are altogether subject.

42 Some of them farther said,, This power can proceed fro none but God.

43 Pilate said to the Jews

Why are not the devils subject your doctors?

44 Seine of them said, The power of subjecting devils can not proceed but from God.

45 But others said to Pilate That he had 1 raised Lazarus from the dead, after he had been four days in his grave.

46 The governor hearing this, trembling said to the multitude of the Jews, What will it profit you to shed innocent blood?
