“Joseph’s name” was changed before becoming “Zephenath Panear”

“Joseph’s name” was changed by YAHUVEH GOD before becoming “Zephenath Panear”

SHALOM!

The title (not name) “Zephaneth Panear” was “Egyptian for ‘God speaks; he lives,’ or ‘creator of life’.”

We praise YAHUVEH/YAHWEH GOD Almighty for the Book of Genesis as well as the Book of Jasher. Both reveal interesting information concerning our patriarchs and matriarchs.

I have been reading the Book of Jasher and in the process, I have learned various intriguing stuff. Greater detail concerning what happened to Joseph since his arrival in Egypt is given. In this particular case, we will focus on his name change. This happened one night when he was in the prison. This was after he had interpreted Pharoah’s dream. Pharoah wanted to promote him but there was one hindrance which was that Joseph could not speak their Egyptian language. Pharoah’s advisers made it clear that it was difficult for them to accept an outsider who could not even communicate in their language. After interpreting Pharoah’s dream, Pharoah sent Joseph back to the prison where he had been residing for the last two years or so on account of Pharoah’s wife. Pharoah’s wife had been trying to seduce Joseph consistently even after sending him to prison. She did not care. She went into the prison to persuade but he always refused.

While in the prison on the night after interpreting Pharoah’s dreams, one of YAH’S/ELOHIM’S (a.k.a GOD) Holy Angels came to Joseph in the prison and woke him up. The Holy Ministering Angel spent some time downloading 70 languages to Joseph as well as training Joseph to actually pronounce words in those languages. After downloading the languages, YAH’S Holy Ministering Angel told Joseph that his name has been changed to:

YAHusef (Yahusef).

This name was translated as: Jehoseph.

See below:

Book of Jasher Chapter 49:13-15

13 And on that night the Lord sent one of his ministering angels, and he came into the land of Egypt unto Joseph, and the angel of the Lord stood over Joseph, and behold Joseph was lying in the bed at night in his master’s house in the dungeon, for his master had put him back into the dungeon on account of his wife.

14 And the angel roused him from his sleep, and Joseph rose up and stood upon his legs, and behold the angel of the Lord was standing opposite to him; and the angel of the Lord spoke with Joseph, and he taught him all the languages of man in that night, and he called his name Jehoseph.

15 And the angel of the Lord went from him, and Joseph returned and lay upon his bed, and Joseph was astonished at the vision which he saw.

In the Hebrew Language, the name “Joseph” is written as: “Yosef”. I must admit that even before making this discovery of the change of Joseph’s name, I have always believed his name to have been “Yahusef” just like John is not Yochanan/Yohanan but rather “YAHuchanan/Yahuchanan/Yahuhanan”.

I believe that it was originally written as “YAHusef” because of the concept/fact of “YAH over everything” (Amightywind Ministry).

This name in the Hebrew language means: “He Will Add”. So when the Holy Name “YAH” is added to the name, it must mean “YAH will add or YAH has added”!

In the Hebrew Bible, when you read Psalm 81:5, you find that Joseph’s name is written as: “Yehosef” although when translated to English, it is written as “Jehosef” in some Bible versions.

Psalm 81

For the choir director; on the gittith;[a] by Asaph.

1 Sing joyfully to Elohim, our strength.
Shout happily to the Elohim of Jacob.
2 Begin a psalm, and strike a tambourine.
Play lyres and harps with their pleasant music.
3 Blow the ram’s horn on the day of the new moon,
on the day of the full moon,
on our festival days.
4 This is a law for Israel,
a legal decision from the Elohim of Jacob.
5 These are the instructions Elohim set in place for Joseph
when Joseph rose to power over Egypt.

I heard a message I did not understand:
6 “I removed the burden from his shoulder.
His hands were freed from the basket.
7 When you were in trouble, you called out to me, and I rescued you.
I was hidden in thunder, but I answered you.
I tested your loyalty at the oasis of Meribah. Selah
8 Listen, my people, and I will warn you.
Israel, if you would only listen to me!
9 Never keep any strange god among you.
Never worship a foreign god.
10 I am Yahweh your Elohim, the one who brought you out of Egypt.
Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.

Never worship a foreign god.

Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.

11 “But my people did not listen to me.
Israel wanted nothing to do with me.
12 So I let them go their own stubborn ways
and follow their own advice.
13 If only my people would listen to me!
If only Israel would follow me!
14 I would quickly defeat their enemies.
I would turn my power against their foes.

15 Those who hate Yahweh would cringe in front of him,
and their time for punishment would last forever.
16 But I would feed Israel with the finest wheat
and satisfy them with honey from a rock.”
