Should the True Children of YAHUVEH ELOHIM observe and/or celebrate “Valentine’s Day”?

SHALOM!

Joshua 24:14-16 Names of God Bible (NOG)

14 “Fear Yahweh, and serve him with integrity and faithfulness. Get rid of the gods your ancestors served on the other side of the Euphrates River and in Egypt, and serve only Yahweh15 But if you don’t want to serve Yahweh, then choose today whom you will serve. Even if you choose the gods your ancestors served on the other side of the Euphrates or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you live, my family and I will still serve Yahweh.”

16 The people responded, “It would be unthinkable for us to abandon Yahweh to serve other gods.

Jeremiah 51:44-53 Names of God Bible (NOG)

44 I will punish Bel in Babylon.
I will make Bel spit out everything that it has swallowed.
Nations will no longer stream to Babylon,
            and its walls will fall.

45 “Leave it, my people!
    Run for your lives!
Run from the burning anger of Yahweh.
46 Don’t lose courage or be afraid when rumors are heard in the land.
One rumor comes one year; another rumor comes the next year.
Rumors of violence are in the land.
Rumors that one ruler will fight against another are in the land.
47 That is why the days are coming when I will punish Babylon’s idols.
The whole country will be put to shame,
and all its soldiers will lie dead.
48 Then heaven and earth and everything in them will rejoice over Babylon,
because destroyers from the north will attack it,”
        declares Yahweh.

49 Because the people of Babylon have killed many Israelites
and because they have killed many people throughout the earth,
        Babylon must fall.
50 You people who escaped from the sword, leave!
    Don’t just stand there.
Remember Yahweh in a distant land, and think about Jerusalem.
51 We have been put to shame, and we have been disgraced.
Shame covers our faces, because foreigners have gone
into the holy places of Yahweh’s temple.

52 “That is why the days are coming,” declares Yahweh,
“when I will punish their idols,
and those who are wounded will moan everywhere in the land.
53 The people of Babylon might go up to heaven.
    They might fortify their strongholds.
But destroyers will still come from me against them,”
        declares Yahweh.

Valentine’s Day a.k.a Festival of Lupercalia is a 7-8 days festival instituted by Satan/the devil through the Roman Catholic Church.

*Whenever we say Happy Valentine’a Day, we invoke the evil spirit in hell the lake of fire called valentine’s a.k.a lupercalia just like we do invoke the evil spirit called Christmas and the devil himself whenever we say Happy Christmas. It is exactly the same thing whenever we say Happy Easter, Happy Halloween, etc.*
This is because all these festivals are satanic/demonic!!!

*Whenever we call on the beloved Name, JESUS CHRIST a.k.a YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH and any of its various translations, we invoke the SPIRIT OF JESUS CHRIST a.k.a YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH and HIS Presence!*
Beware of this…

When we hear “Valentine’s Day, what comes to mind?

Every year, some people look forward to February. The shops would have started selling “Valentine’s Day” items as well as Easter related items. Valentine’s Day tends to be a time to paint the town red.

Well, as lovely as it seems and sounds, is it something that we as Children of YAH or ELOHIM (a.k.a GOD) observe?

On Tuesday 13th February 2018 a feast called “Shrove Tuesday” was observed and celebrated by some around the world. It is also known as “Pancake Day” and Day of Feasting before the fasting period leading up to Easter commences.

Additionally,

Wednesday 14th February 2018 is “Valentine’s Day”. This year,  a feast day called “Ash Wednesday” which is all about the beginning of the “Lent” period. This is a fasting period that lasts approximately 7 weeks before Easter (40 days excluding Sundays).

Do you normally observe these?

Well, if you do, please think again from this year onwards for the sake of your spiritual life….especially if you believe that you are the “Bride or Guest of YAHUSHUA (a.k.a JESUS CHRIST; not Yeshua!!!)”.

  • “Shrove Tuesday”,
  • “Ash Wednesday”,
  • “Valentine’s Day”,
  • “Lent”,
  • “Good Friday” and
  • “Easter Sunday”

…………………………………………..are all PAGAN DAYS created by the Roman Catholic Church. They can not be found anywhere in the foundations of Judaism and more particularly Messianic Judaism. They do not even appear on the Hebrew Calendar (which is YAH’S (a.k.a GOD) Calendar.

All these days started with Nimrod and Ishtar (a.k.a Ashtoreth, ISIS, Semiramis, etc).

This period is that leading up to the “summer solstice”. This is time when the “fertility” (, that is to say that evil sacrifices are made to the god of fertility) and the “emergence of the sun” are celebrated.

These days existed from the times of Babylon instituted by Satan through Nimrod (Book of Genesis).

When the Romans had trouble in their Kingdom which was also the same time at which YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH’S (a.k.a JESUS CHRIST’S) Gospel was spreading around the world, they got rid of the Hebrew Calendar (which is in fact, YAH’S Calendar) then merged some of YAH’S Holy Days in the year with their own Pagan Holy Days. In this way, you would struggle to know the HIDDEN TRUTH and just keep observing the holidays rooted in Satanism. They also created Christianity out of the original Messianic Judaism. Note that YAHUSHUA ELOHIM created Messianic Judaism while physically on earth in human form.

The above mentioned feast days are Satan’s days of observation (not YAH’S)!!!

Beware because YAH does not grant any points for observing them!!!

Now, some useful history pertaining to Nimrod and his family in relation to “Valentine’s Day”

“Valentine’s Day” isn’t an innocent secular holiday; in fact the true origins of Valentine’s day has it’s roots in the occult. Namely in the pagan worship of Baal, the sungod. The religion of Babylon (Baal worship) is the mother of most false religions and its influence is still felt world wide, including in today’s churches.

According to Ancient Writings the Wife of ‘Nimrod’ Was ‘Semiramis’. She Had a Lover Named ‘Tammuz’ Which Was Also Her Son ~ And He Got Killed by a Wild Boar On a Hunting Trip, (Pigs Are Not Even Kosher), and the People Wept For 40 Days For Him and then He Was Supposed to Have Risen From the Dead.

LUPERCALIA {the feast of Lupercus, the mighty wolf hunter}. The ancient Roman celebration of Lupercalia was held in honor of Lupercus, the deified great hunter of Rome.  This celebration also included worship of the goddess of fertility, Venus. In Roman mythology this goddess of fertility and sexual immortality, had a son called Cupid. Cupid was said to have attended to her and was given power to cause love to begin and to cease. This celebration was held from the 14th through the 15th of February. Some of the events of this pagan holiday included the choosing of partners by chance; in which teenager girls would place their names into a box. The names were then drawn out by young men. The girl whose name was drawn then became the sexual partner with the man for the upcoming year; beginning in March during the Fertility rites of the Spring Equinox.

Rome’s Lupercalia more than likely began as part of the Babylonian festival of Oimbolc. Oimbolc celebrates mid-winter (the midpoint between the winter solstice and the spring equinox) and the return of the Sun. Beginning February 2nd candles were lit to welcome the sun and the women began their purification process for the upcoming fertility rites of spring. The Catholic Church also adopted this custom from Irish pagans who served the ‘goddess’ whom they called “Brigit”. The Roman Catholic Church now calls her Saint Brigit, the patron saint of smith craft, poetry and healing. They now call Oimbolc, the “Candle Mass”; in which they celebrate the end of the Virgin Mary’s Purification. Secular society keeps the tradition of ‘Groundhog’s day’ on the 2nd of February, where the presence of the Sun represents the continuance of winter for an additional six weeks.

Origins and History

On Valentine’s Day, it is tradition to celebrate romance and love and kissy-face fealty. But the origins of this festival of candy and cupids are actually dark, bloody — and a bit muddled.

In order the above questions (which really is one question), we need to understand the roots/foundation/origins of “Valentine’s Day”.

The origins are actually rooted in Rome.  The ancient Romans may also be responsible for the name of our modern day of love. Emperor Claudius II executed two men — both named Valentine — on Feb. 14 of different years in the 3rd century A.D. Their martyrdom was honored by the Catholic Church with the celebration of St. Valentine’s Day.

From Feb. 13 to 15, the Romans celebrated the feast of Lupercalia. The men sacrificed a goat and a dog, then whipped women with the hides of the animals they had just slain.

The Roman romantics “were drunk. They were naked,” says Noel Lenski, a historian at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Young women would actually line up for the men to hit them, Lenski says. They believed this would make them fertile.

The brutal fete included a matchmaking lottery, in which young men drew the names of women from a jar. The couple would then be, um, coupled up for the duration of the festival — or longer, if the match was right.

Later, Pope Gelasius I muddled things in the 5th century by combining St. Valentine’s Day with Lupercalia to expel the pagan rituals. But the festival was more of a theatrical interpretation of what it had once been. Lenski adds, “It was a little more of a drunken revel, but the Christians put clothes back on it. That didn’t stop it from being a day of fertility and love.”

Around the same time, the Normans celebrated Galatin’s Day. Galatin meant “lover of women.” That was likely confused with St. Valentine’s Day at some point, in part because they sound alike.

William Shakespeare helped romanticize Valentine’s Day in his work, and it gained popularity throughout Britain and the rest of Europe.

Shakespeare In Love

As the years went on, the holiday grew sweeter. Chaucer and Shakespeare romanticized it in their work, and it gained popularity throughout Britain and the rest of Europe. Handmade paper cards became the tokens-du-jour in the Middle Ages.

Eventually, the tradition made its way to the New World. The industrial revolution ushered in factory-made cards in the 19th century. And in 1913, Hallmark Cards of Kansas City, Mo., began mass producing valentines. February has not been the same since.

Today, the holiday is big business: According to market research firm IBIS World, Valentine’s Day sales reached $17.6 billion last year; this year’s sales are expected to total $18.6 billion.

But that commercialization has spoiled the day for many. Helen Fisher, a sociologist at Rutgers University, says we have only ourselves to blame.

“This isn’t a command performance,” she says. “If people didn’t want to buy Hallmark cards, they would not be bought, and Hallmark would go out of business.”

And so the celebration of Valentine’s Day goes on, in varied ways. Many will break the bank buying jewelry and flowers for their beloveds. Others will celebrate in a SAD (that’s Single Awareness Day) way, dining alone and binging on self-gifted chocolates. A few may even be spending this day the same way the early Romans did. But let’s not go there.

This is what YAHUVEH ELOHIM told the Children of Israel and we who have accepted YAHUSHUA as the only MASHIACH are Spiritual Children of Israel. We are therefore are obliged to pay attention to the following words which YAHUVEH ELOHIM spoke through HIS Holy Servant and Prophet Moshe/Moses:

Deuteronomy 12:29- Names of God Bible (NOG)

29 Yahweh your Elohim will destroy the nations where you’re going and force them out of your way. You will take possession of their land and live there. 30 After they’ve been destroyed, be careful you aren’t tempted to follow their customs. Don’t even ask about their gods and say, “How did these people worship their gods? We want to do what they did.” 31 Never worship Yahweh your Elohim in the way they worship their gods, because everything they do for their gods is disgusting to Yahweh. He hates it! They even burn their sons and daughters as sacrifices to their gods.[b]

32 Be sure to do everything I command you. Never add anything to it or take anything away from it.

Lupercalia is described as follows on Google:

an ancient Roman festival of purification and fertility, held annually on 15 February.

Each Lupercalia began with the sacrifice by the Luperci of goats and a dog, after which two of the Luperci were led to the altar, their foreheads were touched with a bloody knife, and the blood was wiped off with wool dipped in milk; the ritual required that the two young men laugh.

Who is the god of February?

While January takes its name from Janus, the Roman god of beginnings and endings, February comes from the word februum (purification) and februa, the rites or instruments used for purification. These formed part of preparations for the coming of Spring in the northern hemisphere.

What was lupercus the god of?

Lupercus was a protector of the farmers, harvesting and packs of wild animals. Every year on 15 February in honor of him, the Romans held the Lupercalia.
