1. By joining HEAVENS and Earth [Ha SHAMMAYIM et HA Arets] implies the connection between Spiritual and earthly matters.
2. Since it occurs as the 22nd letter in the TORAH/LAW attached to the sixth word [et], it alludes to the creative connection between all of the letters. Vav is therefore the connecting force of THE GOD, THE DIVINE HOOK that binds together HEAVEN and Earth!

According to the HEBREW BIBLE, Phinehas or Phineas (/ˈfɪniəs/; HEBREW: פִּינְחָס, was a Priest during the Israelites’ Exodus journey. The grandson of Aharon and son of Eleazar, the High Priests [Exodus6:25], he distinguished himself as a youth at Shittim with his ZEAL against the heresy of Peor. Displeased with the immorality with which the Moabites and Midianites had successfully tempted the Israelites [Numbers 25:1-9] to inter-marry and to worship Ba-al-Peor, Phinehas personally executed an Israelite man and a Midianite woman while they were together in the man’s tent, running a javelin or spear through the man and the belly of the woman, bringing to an end the plague sent by YAH to punish the Israelites for sexually intermingling with the Midianites.
Phinehas is commended by YAH in the book of Numbers chapter 25:10-13, as well as King David in Psalm 106:28-31 for having stopped Israel’s fall into idolatrous practices brought in by Midianite women, as well as for stopping the desecration of YAH’S SANCTUARY. After the entry to the land of Israel and the death of his father, he was appointed the third HIGH PRIEST of ISRAEL, and served at the SANCTUARY OF BETHEL [Judges 20:28].
ON ACCOUNT OF PHINEHAS, YAH SHADDAI STOPPED THE PLAGUE and ISRAEL WAS DELIVERED FROM DESTRUCTION!
Phinehas was a type of MESSIAH because he was jealous for his GOD and made ATONEMENT [KIPPUR] To ISRAEL !
*We can further think of THE BROKEN VAV in Numbers 25:13 as A PICTURE OF THE BROKENNESS OF THE ONE AND ONLY TRUE MESSIAH, YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH for our ULTIMATE DELIVERANCE [YAHUSHUA] which is best described in YeshaYAHU/Isaiah 53.*

Genesis 2:4 refers to THE CREATED ORDER BEFORE the sin and the Fall of Adam and Chavvah [Eve].
After the fall of Adam and Chavvah, however, the HEBREW word for Generations, Toldot is spelled differently in THE HEBREW BIBLE TEXT, with a missing letter, VAV, that is to say, תלְדוֹת.
Thereafter, each the phrase, “these are the generations of” occurs in THE HOLY BIBLICAL SCRIPTURES [a formulaic way for enumerating the Generations of the heads of families], the word is spelled defectively with the missing Vav [ו]. The name, Perez means “breach” [from paratz, meaning: “break through”].
YAH SHADDAI was to break through the families of mankind in order to restore Mankind to its original intent. The letter Vav represents man, and the very first Vav in the TORAH/LAW is associated with the “first and last man” as seen in Genesis 1:1.

THE RESTORED VAV IS A PICTURE OF THE MASHIACH [MESSIAH] WHO WOULD DESCEND FROM THE “Generations” of Perez. YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH would be the ONE who would breach the gates of death on our behalf.
So, remember that in Genesis 1:1, we see the first Vav of TORAH/LAW (representative of YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH incarnate, the second Adam) *WHO links and mediates between the HEAVENS and the Earth and therefore between YAH SHADDAI and mankind!*
Then, in the same Genesis 1:1, we see YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH introduced as the ALEPH-TAV, FIRST and LAST thereby informing us that ALEPH-TAV is a Direct Object of Creation.
Just as the original Vav was lost through the first Adam and his sin, so the Vav is restored through the obedience of “the Second Adam,” the MASHIACH [MESSIAH], YAHUSHUA.
