CROSSING THE RED SEA & RIVER JORDAN: Spiritual Implications

SHALOM!

The following teaching is inspired by The TORAH Portion “BESHALACH/When He (Pharoah) Sent or Let Go”.

Prayer based on TORAH Portion “BESHALACH/When He (Pharoah) Sent or Let Go”:

  • May ABBA YAHUVEH in HIS infinite mercy cause every Spiritual Sea of Reeds (a.k.a Red Sea) before you to part in YAHUSHUA’S (a.k.a JESUS’/YESHUA’S) name, that you may gain your rightful freedom from bondage/slavery in YAHUSHUA’S name and the power of YAHUSHUA’S blood!!!
  • Additionally, May ABBA YAHUVEH cause you to cross every Spiritual Jordan River before you to part that you may cross over into your position and place of promise as per Jeremiah 29:11 in YAHUSHUA’S name!!!
  • Let ABBA YAHUVEH ELOHIM arise in HIS anger to scatter plus destroy every spiritual and physical Amalekite assigned against you with a death warrant so as to steal your inheritence, in the mighty name of YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH!

AMEN!

It’s time to step into and enjoy your inheritence as designed by YAHUVEH ELOHIM Almighty!

  • Red Sea or Reed Sea/Sea of Reeds (English) – Yam Surph (Hebrew)
  • Jordan River (English) – Nahar ha-Yarden (Hebrew)

Both the Crossing of the Red Sea and Jordan River took place in the First Month on the Hebrew Calendar. The Crossing of the Jordan River took place 40 years later on the Tenth Day of the First Month. The first month of the Hebrew Calendar is called Nissan/Nisan or Abib. It is amazing how YAHUVEH/YAHWEH GOD organises events.

PASSOVER/PESACH is usually on the 14th and 15th day of the first month of the Hebrew calendar.

This implies that when we are celebrating PASSOVER/PESACH, we are celebrating the crossings of the Red Sea and Jordan River as well.

The Red Sea waters became walls for the Israelites when crossing. Our GOD is amazing…

On the 17th day of the first month on the Hebrew Calendar, the Egyptians set out after the Israelites so as to return them to Egypt. This same 17th day was the day on which YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH (a.k.a JESUS CHRIST/YESHUA) rose from the dead years later. It is therefore very significant. They arrived where the Israelites were 2 days later (on the 19th day of the first hebrew month).

Remember that YAHUVEH/YAHWEH ELOHIM told Moses that the Egyptians they saw that day, they would see them no more! And so it was. The chariots of Pharoah’s subjects together with his subjects were drowned in the Red Sea on that day. The Israalites gained their freedom totally from the Egyptians because Red Sea event made the Egyptians very afraid of them henceforth.

2 Peter 2:19-22 Names of God Bible (NOG)

19 They promise these people freedom, but they themselves are slaves to corruption. A person is a slave to whatever he gives in to.

20 People can know our Lord and Savior Yeshua Christ and escape the world’s filth. But if they get involved in this filth again and give in to it, they are worse off than they were before. 21 It would have been better for them never to have known the way of life that God approves of than to know it and turn their backs on the holy life God told them to live. 22 These proverbs have come true for them: “A dog goes back to its vomit,” and “A sow that has been washed goes back to roll around in the mud.”

Both events, that is to say, the crossing the Red Sea and River Jordan had great significance both spiritually and physically for the Children of Israel.

On this page, we discuss/teach about SPIRITUALLY CROSSING THE RED SEA (a.k.a Sea of Reeds/Reed Sea) mostly but also about the River Jordan.

In summary, the Crossing of the Reed Sea was actually a time of crossing from slavery/bondage to freedom whereas the Crossing of the River Jordan was the act of crossing into the Holy Land of Promise where the Children of Israel would exercise their freedom from slavery to the fullest.

Note that when the Children of Israel/Israelites were instructed by ABBA YAHUVEH/YAHWEH GOD Almighty to cross the Sea of Reeds, HE was creating a major turn-around in their lives. That was a special miracle too which came after the first miracle (PASSOVER/PESACH).

The Lord Divides the Red Sea

13 Moses answered the people, “Don’t be afraid! Stand still, and see what Yahweh will do to save you today. You will never see these Egyptians again. 14 Yahweh is fighting for you! So be still!”

15 Then Yahweh said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to start moving. 16 Raise your staff, stretch out your hand over the sea, and divide the water. Then the Israelites will go through the sea on dry ground. 17 I am making the Egyptians so stubborn that they will follow the Israelites. I will receive honor because of what I will do to Pharaoh, his entire army, his chariots, and cavalry. 18 The Egyptians will know that I am Yahweh when I am honored for what I did to Pharaoh, his chariots, and his cavalry.”

19 The Messenger of Elohim, who had been in front of the Israelites, moved behind them. So the column of smoke moved from in front of the Israelites and stood behind them 20 between the Egyptian camp and the Israelite camp. The column of smoke was there when darkness came, and it lit up the night. Neither side came near the other all night long.

21 Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea. All that night Yahweh pushed back the sea with a strong east wind and turned the sea into dry ground. The water divided, 22 and the Israelites went through the middle of the sea on dry ground. The water stood like a wall on their right and on their left.

23 The Egyptians pursued them, and all Pharaoh’s horses, chariots, and cavalry followed them into the sea. 24 Just before dawn, Yahweh looked down from the column of fire and smoke and threw the Egyptian camp into a panic. 25 He made the wheels of their chariots come off so that they could hardly move. Then the Egyptians shouted, “Let’s get out of here! Yahweh is fighting for Israel! He’s against us!”

26 Then Yahweh said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand over the sea so that the water will flow back over the Egyptians, their chariots, and their cavalry.”

27 Moses stretched his hand over the sea, and at daybreak the water returned to its usual place. The Egyptians tried to escape, but Yahwehswept them into the sea. 28 The water flowed back and covered Pharaoh’s entire army, as well as the chariots and the cavalry that had followed Israel into the sea. Not one of them survived.

29 Meanwhile, the Israelites had gone through the sea on dry ground while the water stood like a wall on their right and on their left. 30 That day Yahweh saved Israel from the Egyptians, and Israel saw the Egyptians lying dead on the seashore. 31 When the Israelites saw the great power Yahweh had used against the Egyptians, they feared Yahweh and believed in Yahweh and in his servant Moses.

The journey from Egypt to Mount Sinai symbolises spiritual growth. Israel leaving Egypt can be compared to the new believer, a born-again infant. The baby has to learn to walk, to talk, and to eat solid foods. Israel’s first forty-nine days in the wilderness were filled with growing experiences.

The enemies of the Children of Israel got destroyed by the Sea of Reeds….

After everything YAHUVEH ELOHIM had done to devastate their land, the Children of Mitzrayim (a.k.a Egypt) still made up their minds not to let the people of Israel go. They wanted to enslave them forever. This was not part of YAHUVEH ELOHIM’S plan for HIS beloved people. The same goes for us in our day and age. If we are faithful in seeking YAH/ELOHIM fervently and choose to hide in HIM, what happened to the Egyptians will be repeated in the lives of our enemies both spiritual and physical.

Joshua 3 Names of God Bible (NOG)

Crossing the Jordan River

3 Joshua got up early the next morning. He and all the Israelites left Shittim. They came to the Jordan River, where they camped before crossing.

2 Three days later the officers went through the camp. 3 They told the people, “As soon as you see the ark of the promise of Yahweh your Elohim and the Levitical priests who carry it, break camp and follow them. 4 However, stay about half a mile behind them. Don’t come any closer to them so that you will know which way to go because you have not gone this way before.”

5 Joshua told the people, “Perform the ceremonies to make yourselves holy because tomorrow Yahweh will do miracles among you.”

6 Joshua also told the priests, “Take the ark of the promise, and go ahead of the people.” They did as they were told.

7 Then Yahweh said to Joshua, “Today I will begin to honor you in front of all the people of Israel. I will do this to let them know that I am with you just as I was with Moses. 8 Order the priests who carry the ark of the promise, ‘When you step into the water of the Jordan River, stand there.’”

9 So Joshua said to the people of Israel, “Come here, and listen to the words of Yahweh your Elohim.” 10 Joshua continued, “This is how you will know that El Chay is among you and that he will certainly force the Canaanites, Hittites, Hivites, Perizzites, Girgashites, Amorites, and Jebusites out of your way. 11 Watch the ark of the promise of the Adonay of the whole earth as it goes ahead of you into the Jordan River. 12 Choose one man from each of the 12 tribes of Israel. 13 The priests who carry the ark of Yahweh, the Adonay of the whole earth, will stand in the water of the Jordan. Then the water flowing from upstream will stop and stand up like a dam.”

14 So they broke camp to cross the Jordan River. The priests who carried the ark of the promise went ahead of the people. 15 (The Jordan overflows all its banks during the harvest season.)[a] When the priests who were carrying the ark came to the edge of the Jordan River and set foot in 16 the water, the water stopped flowing from upstream. The water rose up like a dam as far away as the city of Adam near Zarethan. The water flowing down toward the Sea of the Plains (the Dead Sea) was completely cut off. Then the people crossed from the east side of the Jordan River directly opposite Jericho. 17 The priests who carried the ark of Yahweh’s promise stood firmly on dry ground in the middle of the Jordan until the whole nation of Israel had crossed the Jordan River on dry ground.

Joshua 4 Names of God Bible (NOG)

A Reminder of the Crossing

4 The whole nation finished crossing the Jordan River. Yahweh had told Joshua, 2 “Choose one man from each of the 12 tribes. 3 Order them to pick up 12 stones from the middle of the Jordan, where the priests’ feet stood firmly. Take the stones along with you, and set them down where you will camp tonight.”

4 Joshua called the 12 men whom he had selected (one from each tribe). 5 He said to them, “Go to the middle of the Jordan River in front of the ark of Yahweh your Elohim. Each man must take a stone on his shoulder, one for each tribe of Israel. 6 This will be a sign for you. In the future your children will ask, ‘What do these stones mean to you?’ 7 You should answer, ‘The water of the Jordan River was cut off in front of the ark of Yahweh’s promise. When the ark crossed the Jordan, the river stopped flowing. These stones are a permanent reminder for the people of Israel.’”

8 The people of Israel did as Joshua had ordered. They took 12 stones, one for each of the tribes of Israel. They took them from the middle of the Jordan as Yahweh had told Joshua. They carried them to the camp and set them down there.

9 Joshua also set 12 stones in the middle of the Jordan River, where the priests who carried the ark of the promise had stood. The stones are still there today.

10 The priests who carried the ark remained standing in the middle of the Jordan. They stood there until everything Yahweh had ordered Joshua to tell the people had been carried out. This was as Moses had told Joshua. The people hurried to the other side. 11 As soon as everyone had crossed, the priests with Yahweh’s ark crossed and went ahead of them.

12 The men of Reuben, Gad, and half of the tribe of Manasseh did as Moses had told them. They marched across in battle formation ahead of the people of Israel. 13 About 40,000 armed men crossed the river in front of Yahweh to the plains of Jericho for battle.

14 On that day Yahweh honored Joshua in the presence of all the Israelites. As long as Joshua lived, the Israelites respected him in the same way they had respected Moses.

15 Yahweh said to Joshua, 16 “Order the priests who carry the ark of the testimony to come out of the Jordan River.”

17 So Joshua ordered the priests, “Come out of the Jordan.”

18 The priests who carried the ark of Yahweh’s promise came out of the middle of the Jordan. When their feet stepped onto dry land, the water of the Jordan returned to its seasonal flood level.

19 On the tenth day of the first month, the people came out of the Jordan River. They made their camp at Gilgal, just east of Jericho. 20 At Gilgal Joshua set up the 12 stones they had taken from the Jordan. 21 He said to the people of Israel, “In the future when children ask their parents, ‘What do these stones mean?’ 22 the children should be told that Israel crossed the Jordan River on dry ground. 23 Yahweh your Elohim dried up the Jordan ahead of you until you had crossed, as he did to the Red Sea until we had crossed. 24 Yahweh did this so that everyone in the world would know his mighty power and that you would fear Yahwehyour Elohim every day of your life.”

Finally, they enter the Promised Land….

Question:

Image result for crossing the river jordan images

Note that during the first crossing, the there no strict instructions to follow however during the second crossing, there were very strict instructions.

Why was this the case?

One other question that comes to mind is that,

Why did YAHUVEH GOD Almighty lead the Israelites to cross two water bodies before actual entering the Land of Promise at both times, they had to take a step of FAITH in HIM that they have never taken before?

hmmm…. Interesting….

Image result for crossing the river jordan map images

Looking at the map, you can get a good understanding of what happened….

The Israelites had one sea and one river to cross – the Red Sea and the Jordan River.

In both crossings over dry ground, they witnessed the miracles of YAHUVEH ELOHIM.

Their first “crossing over” was when they witnessed the salvation of the LORD YAHUVEH as they crossed the Red Sea. On the first Passover, YAHUVEH ELOHIM delivered the children of Israel from the slavery of Egypt. HE redeemed them and set them free by the blood of the Passover Lamb. As they camped besides the Sea, the Egyptians pursued them. They became afraid, and murmured against Moses. Moses said to them in Exodus 14:13, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD YAHUVEH, which He will accomplish for you today.”

YAHUVEH ELOHIM wanted them to place their trust in Him in the midst of adverse circumstances. By simply obeying YAH/ELOHIM and HIS prophet, Moses, the children had to believe that the LORD YAHUVEH was able to deliver them. That day, they saw the salvation of the LORD YAHUVEH as He became their Saviour in parting the sea for them. They crossed over on dry ground. It was not their physical act of crossing that brought them salvation, but their trust in God and their act of obedience that did it. They crossed over from the slavery in Egypt into the freedom in ELOHIM/YAH.

The second “crossing over” happened much later when the Israelites were about to enter their Promised Land. After crossing the Red Sea, they kept wandering in circles in the wilderness for 40 years as they kept disobeying YAHUVEH ELOHIM.

‘Surely none of the men who came up from Egypt, from twenty years old and above, shall see the land of which I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, because they have not wholly followed Me, except Caleb the son of Jephunneh, the Kenizzite, and Joshua the son of Nun, for they have wholly followed the LORD YAHUVEH.’ So the LORD YAHUVEH’S anger was aroused against Israel, and He made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation that had done evil in the sight of the LORD YAHUVEH was gone. Num 32:11-13

Their disobedience granted them no entry into the promise of YAHUVEH ELOHIM. Until they were fully agreeable with YAHUVEH ELOHIM’S terms and conditions of living in the Promised Land – HIS TORAH, they remained disobedient. Only the obedient ones entered in and received their inheritance. The obedient ones will wholeheartedly acknowledge YAHUVEH as their ELOHIM and HIS LORDSHIP over them.

Salvation means crossing over from the kingdom of Satan into the kingdom of YAH/ELOHIM. But to fully enjoy the benefits and inheritance of the promises of YAHUVEH ELOHIM, we have to cross over the Jordan River into the Promised Land where we take YAHUVEH ELOHIM at HIS WORD and act upon it – being doers of the WORD, and not hearers only (James 1:22).

There are two Hebrew words that are crucial in understanding the second crossing. They are “Jordan” and “Joshua.”

“Jordan” (yarden) means “descending, flowing river.” The last part of Hebrew word of “Jordan” (dan) means “judgement.” It is possible that River Jordan means “a river that flows down from judgement.” Geographically, the Jordan River also flows down from the tribe of Dan who was originally allocated the north of Israel. From Dan, it flows southwards into the Sea of Galilee, and continues its journey and ends in the Salt Sea, currently known as the Dead Sea.

(Remember that the name DANIEL which can also be written as DANIYAH means EL/ELOHIM/YAH is my Judge!)

“Joshua” (Yahushua) means “salvation.” Yahushua represents salvation to the people. They are to follow Yahushua wherever they go in their inheritance. In Yahushua, they conquered, and in Yahushua, they find their rest!

Putting these two words together, we see a beautiful Torah picture unfolding. Since “Jordan” means “down from judgment,” then the flow of the river would mean the people are still under the judgements of YAH/ELOHIM . These judgements were still there even though they have already been saved and redeemed from Egypt.

The Jordan River posed a barrier from entering the Promised Land. How can they stop the judgements of YAHUVEH ELOHIM? The only way is to stop the flow of Jordan River. Only YAHUVEH ELOHIM can do that!

YAHUVEH ELOHIM did stopped the flow of Jordan River, at a place called Adam, 30 kilometres (18 miles) upstream north of Jericho (the crossing point of the Israelites). By no coincidence, God chooses this amazing spot to be the place where the Jordan River stopped flowing. If Jordan poses the flow of YAHUVEH ELOHIM’S judgement, then Jordan stops flowing from the place Adam would mean that the judgement of God would stop flowing from our very first forefather, Adam. The curse of sin since Adam is being stopped!

To fully enjoy the promise and inheritance of YAH/ELOHIM, we need to see the judgement of YAHUVEH ELOHIM ceases flowing. The judgement, in fact, ceases flowing in the second Adam (YAHUSHUA who is also known as YESHUA or JESUS).

But before that could take place, the Ark of the Covenant had to be brought forward and put in place in the Jordan River. As this was being done, the Jordan River stopped its flow at Adam. Following the Torah (as what the Ark of the Covenant represents), we can now enjoy the blessings of obedience and the fruits that it bears – the blessed rest in the Promised Land. We are not talking about salvation here, but about sanctification as we enter into God’s rest. These blessings can only come about through obedience in the Word of ELOHIM/YAH- His Torah!

Following Joshua (a.k.a Yahushua) into the Promised Land means following YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH everywhere into the promise of YAHUVEH ELOHIM. Only then, our souls will find rest in YAH/ELOHIM as we put His TORAH in our minds, and write it on our hearts; and HE will be our ELOHIM/YAH, and we shall be His people.

Further insights about Jordan:
1. Besides Joshua/Yahushua, there are two other persons who parted the Jordan. They are Elijah and Elisha (2 Kings 2:7-8, 14).
2. Elijah/Eliyahu/Eliyah means “YAHUVEH/YAHWEH is my ELOHIM/YAH (a.k.a GOD)”.
3. He was an influential prophet who lived during the ninth century BC.
4. Elijah’s prophetic activities emphasized the unconditional loyalty to YAHUVEH ELOHIM and HIS WORD required of the nation of Israel.
5. Elijah was opposed to the accepted standards of his day, when nationwide idolatry was prevalent.
6. He challenged Baal worshippers at Mount Carmel.
7. He prayed for a drought that lasted 31/2 years.
8. Elijah’s views were in conflict with those of King Ahab. Ahab had attempted to cultivate economic ties with Israel’s neighbors, especially Tyre.
9. Upon his flight from Jezebel, he came to the desert south of Beersheba, eventually arriving at Mount Horeb– the mountain where Moses received the Ten Commandments – the TORAH. It is significant that this loyal follower of the Law came at last to the place where the commandments were first given.
10. Like Moses and YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH, Elijah was sustained for 40 days and nights in the wilderness.
11. While Elijah was at Mount Horeb, the LORD YAHUVEH revealed HIMSELF in a low, murmuring sound. The prophet received a revelation of the coming doom on Ahab and Israel (1 Kin. 19:14). Then Elijah was given a threefold charge: he was instructed to anoint Hazael as king of Syria, Jehu as the future king of Israel, and Elisha as the prophet who would take his place (1 Kin. 19:16).
12. Elijah did not die. He was carried bodily to heaven in a whirlwind (2 Kin. 2:1-11). This was an honor previously bestowed only upon Enoch (Gen. 5:24).
13. Elijah understood that the nation of Israel had a mission to preserve its religious system– the worship of the one true ELOHIM/YAH– in a pure form without any mixture with idol worship.
14. Elijah’s impact on the prophetic movement among the Hebrew people was extensive. Like the prophets who followed him, Elijah emphasized Israel’s responsibility for total commitment to their ELOHIM/YAH and the covenant responsibilities which ELOHIM/YAH and His people had sworn to each other.
15. The Old Testament spoke of the reappearance of Elijah. The prophet Malachi prophesied that the LORD YAHUVEH would send Elijah before the day of the Lord arrived.
16. According to the New Testament, this prophecy was fulfilled in the coming of John The Baptist (Matt. 11:4; 17:10-13; Luke 1:17).
17. During YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH’S earthly ministry, some identified him with Elijah (Matt. 16:14; Luke 9:8).
18. The New Testament also mentions the reappearance of Elijah in person. Along with Moses, he appeared with YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH on the Mount of Transfiguration (Matt. 17:3).
19. Because of his true obedience to YAHUVEH ELOHIM and HIS TORAH, Elijah was able to have the authority and anointing to part the Jordan.
20. This was passed down to his disciple, Elisha (meaning YAH/ELOHIM is my SALVATION) who was able to do the same.

About Jordan In the New Testament

  • John the Baptist carried out his ministry in the Jordan River region (Matt. 3:5-6; Mark 1:5; Luke 3:3; John 1:28; 3:26).
  • Jesus’ ministry was initiated by His baptism in the waters of the Jordan (Matt. 3:13; Mark 1:9; Luke 4:1).
  • When Jesus had been baptized, He came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased” (Matthew 3:16-17).
  • Note that the judgement had ceased flowing when Jeshua (Jesus) was in the Jordan waters. In fact, God was well pleased.
  • Jesus carried out His ministry on both sides of the Jordan (Matt. 4:15,25; Mark 3:8; John 10:40)

When I think of the two crossings, the following Holy Scriptures come to mind:

Romans 6 Names of God Bible (NOG)

No Longer Slaves to Sin, but God’s Servants

6 What should we say then? Should we continue to sin so that God’s kindness[a] will increase? 2 That’s unthinkable! As far as sin is concerned, we have died. So how can we still live under sin’s influence?

3 Don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Yeshua were baptized into his death? 4 When we were baptized into his death, we were placed into the tomb with him. As Christ was brought back from death to life by the glorious power of the Father, so we, too, should live a new kind of life. 5 If we’ve become united with him in a death like his, certainly we will also be united with him when we come back to life as he did. 6 We know that the person we used to be was crucified with him to put an end to sin in our bodies. Because of this we are no longer slaves to sin. 7 The person who has died has been freed from sin.

8 If we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. 9 We know that Christ, who was brought back to life, will never die again. Death no longer has any power over him. 10 When he died, he died once and for all to sin’s power. But now he lives, and he lives for God. 11 So consider yourselves dead to sin’s power but living for God in the power Christ Yeshua gives you.

12 Therefore, never let sin rule your physical body so that you obey its desires. 13 Never offer any part of your body to sin’s power. No part of your body should ever be used to do any ungodly thing. Instead, offer yourselves to God as people who have come back from death and are now alive. Offer all the parts of your body to God. Use them to do everything that God approves of. 14 Certainly, sin shouldn’t have power over you because you’re not controlled by God’s laws, but by God’s favor.[b]

15 Then what is the implication? Should we sin because we are not controlled by God’s laws but by God’s favor? That’s unthinkable! 16 Don’t you know that if you offer to be someone’s slave, you must obey that master? Either your master is sin, or your master is obedience. Letting sin be your master leads to death. Letting obedience be your master leads to God’s approval. 17 You were slaves to sin. But I thank God that you have become wholeheartedly obedient to the teachings which you were given. 18 Freed from sin, you were made slaves who do what God approves of.

19 I’m speaking in a human way because of the weakness of your corrupt nature. Clearly, you once offered all the parts of your body as slaves to sexual perversion and disobedience. This led you to live disobedient lives. Now, in the same way, offer all the parts of your body as slaves that do what God approves of. This leads you to live holy lives. 20 When you were slaves to sin, you were free from doing what God approves of.

21 What did you gain by doing those things? You’re ashamed of what you used to do because it ended in death. 22 Now you have been freed from sin and have become God’s slaves. This results in a holy life and, finally, in everlasting life. 23 The payment for sin is death, but the gift that God freely gives is everlasting life found in Christ Yeshua our Lord.

Once freed from bondage/slavery of Satan, we become YAH’S/ELOHIM’S slaves instead but not in a negative way. YAH/ELOHIM is so loving and caring and it is so much better to be HIS slave than to be enslaved by Satan.

One becomes Spiritual ROYALTY after being freed. One also becomes YAHUSHUA’S Bride or Guest!

We should avoid going back to your vomit, that is to say ungodly habits. Rather we should work on increasing our righteousness.

This TORAH Portion is calling you to:

  • Check yourself – the condition of your spirit man
  • Check your level of faith in YAH/ELOHIM (a.k.a GOD)
  • Cross from spiritual darkness to spiritual light
  • Leave Spiritual and Physical Egypt: Cross from spiritual and physical bondage/slavery to Spiritual and Physical Freedom

Crossinmg your Reed Sea…

Ask yourself this:

Have you given surrendered you life to YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH (a.k.a JESUS CHRIST/YESHUA)?

Is YAHUSHUA your MASHIACH/MESSIAH or SAVIOUR or REDEEMER?

If not, you first of need to take the step of FAITH of accepting HIM through a Word of Prayer that includes confessing your sins to HIM and asking for forgiveness plus cleaning by YAHUSHUA’S Blood. Within the Prayer, you also acknowledge HIM with your mouth and heart as your personal SAVIOUR/REDEEMER/MESSIAH!

Once, you have done that, then you are part of the International Spiritual Family of YAH/ELOHIM Almighty and Body of YAHUSHUA as well as you are either a Spiritual BRIDE or GUEST of YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH.

If you are already a born again believer in and follower of YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH, then you need to repent before taking the steps above.

Crossing from Egypt to the Promised Land is and can be hard work. It can spiritually take some time. It depends on a number of factors, the main one being YAHUVEH GOD’S timing.

Galatians 5:1 Names of God Bible (NOG)

Live in the Freedom That Christ Gives You

5 Christ has freed us so that we may enjoy the benefits of freedom. Therefore, be firm in this freedom, and don’t become slaves again.

2 Peter 2:19-22 Tree of Life Version (TLV)

19 They promise them freedom while they themselves are slaves of corruption—for a person is a slave to whatever has overcome him. 20 For if—after escaping the world’s pollutions through the knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Yeshua the Messiah—they again become entangled in these things and are overcome, the end for them has become worse than the beginning. 21 For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than after learning about it, to turn back from the holy commandment passed on to them. [a] 22 What has happened to them confirms the truth of the proverb, “A dog returns to its vomit,”[b] and “A scrubbed pig heads right back into the mud.”
