Both “Shrove Tuesday/Madi Gras/Fat Tuesday/Pancake Tuesday” and “Ash Wednesday/Day of Ashes” were created to honour Nimrod and his family – nothing to do with YAH/ELOHIM at all!!!

In summary, “Shrove Tuesday/Madi Gras/Fat Tuesday/Pancake Tuesday” is a day to feast before going into a time of mourning the death of Nimrod and his family rather; not fasting and repenting!

Do “Shrove Tuesday” and “Ash Wednesday” give glory and honour unto YAH/ELOHIM (a.k.a GOD)?

“Shrove Tuesday” this year is on Tuesday 13th February 2018. “Ash Wednesday” is on Wednesday 14th February 2018.

Why Tuesday and Wednesday? Why not any other day of the week?

Note that on the Hebrew Calendar which is YAH’S Calendar, Tuesday is the 3rd day while Wednesday is the 4th day of the week. Additionally, these were not the original names which YAH gave to each of the days of the week.

“Shrove Tuesday/Madi Gras/Fat Tuesday/Pancake Tuesday”

“Madi Gras/Shrove Tuesday” has a lot to do with masking.

What is there to be masked?

 

The same masking symbolism is used when advertising and/or celebrating Holy Purim. Those celebrating Madi Gras might have copied. The reason for masking on PURIM is because of all “HIDDEN” within the Story of PURIM or Story of ESTHER.  YAH is hidden. Esther hides her identity, etc.

 

Shrove Tuesday has many names as seen throughout this page.

Mardi Gras, also called Shrove Tuesday, or Fat Tuesday, in English, refers to events of the Carnival celebrations, beginning on or after the Christian feasts of the Epiphany and culminating on the day before Ash Wednesday.

It is celebrated through carnivals and parties. Its significance is that it is the celebration period before fasting season of Lent.

It usually comes about 47 days before Easter.

The following images show examples of how “Madi Gras/Shrove Tuesday” is celebrated. Sadly, the following also remind me of how the Orthodox Jews dress up for the “Feast of Purim/Lots a.k.a Feast of Esther”. When I learned last year that on Purim, the Orthodox Jews dress up for fun but also as a form of mockery to those who have the spirit and intentions towards them like those of Haman, the villain in the Purim story. The “Madis Gras feast” is evil whereas PURIM is HOLY unto YAH!!!

I am not saying that dressing up on PURIM is totally evil. My understanding is that PURIM and the 2 days before it are meant to be a time of:

• fasting or waiting upon YAHUVEH THE LORD,
• crying out unto YAH asking HIM to protect during the repeat of the PURIM event in the future as well as
• reading MEGILLAH/MEGILLAT EstESTHER her (that is to say, the SCROLL OF ESTHER)” and
• finally feasting on “HAMANTASCHEN COOKIES” during a meal called “SEUDAH”

I must say that dressing up can take the focus away from all the above and most especially fasting.

On the other hand, dressing up is good in such a way that it helps to make a point to children, who need to be taught about the HOLY DAY or HOLY FEAST.

One very good way to teach children about things (and even adults too because our memories are frail) is to have visuals). A very good visual for PURIM is dressing up as:

KINGS,

QUEENS,

MORDECAI,

HAMAN, etc.

One can even get the children to act out the story.

Shrove Tuesday is described as: the day in February or March immediately preceding Ash Wednesday, which is celebrated in some countries by consuming pancakes. Though named for its former religious significance, it is chiefly marked by feasting and celebration, which traditionally preceded the observance of the Lenten fast. In others, especially those where it is called Mardi Gras or some translation thereof, this is a carnival day, and also the last day of “fat eating” or “gorging” before the fasting period of Lent.

This moveable feast is determined by Easter/Ishtar. The expression “Shrove Tuesday” comes from the word shrive, meaning “absolve^{“. Shrove Tuesday is observed by many Christians, including Anglicans, Lutherans, Methodists and Roman Catholics, who “make a special point of self-examination, of considering what wrongs they need to repent, and what amendments of life or areas of spiritual growth they especially need to ask God’s help in dealing with.”}

Being the last day of the liturgical season historically known as Shrovetide, before the penitential season of Lent, related popular practices, such as indulging in food that one sacrifices for the upcoming forty days, are associated with Shrove Tuesday celebrations, before commencing the fasting and religious obligations associated with Lent. The term Mardi Gras is French for “Fat Tuesday”, referring to the practice of the last night of eating richer, fatty foods before the ritual fasting of the Lenten season, which begins on Ash Wednesday.

Ash Wednesday, a day of fasting, is the first day of Lent in Western Christianity. It occurs 46 days (40 fasting days, if the six Sundays, which are not days of fasting, are excluded) before Easter and can fall as early as February 4 or as late as March 10.

Ash Wednesday to Easter is a commemoration of the killing of Tammuz and Nimrod. It is hoped that by Easter, they will rise from the dead. So many fertility symbols are used around Easter time. There is a reason for that. Once again, it is to do with Nimrod’s family. It is all paganism which is an abomination unto YAH!!!

Ash Wednesday derives its name from the practice of blessing ashes made from palm branches blessed on the previous year’s Palm Sunday, and placing them on the heads of participants to the accompaniment of the words “Repent, and believe in the Gospel” or “Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return”. As they “impose” or “dispense” the ashes, the pastor or priest reminds each Christian of Genesis 3:19: “For dust you are and to dust you shall return.”
This makes so much sense when linked to YAH’S Amightywind Ministry Prophecies that talk how the “Mark of the beast” will be given in the future Great Tribulation. In the Holy Prophecies, YAH makes it clear that we should avoid Sunday church attendance from now and most especially when the Great Tribulation commences, which time will not be necessarily announced on microphone to the whole world. In other words, life will go on as normal with some changes particularly during the first part of the Great Tribulation. When a mandatory law to go to your nearest Sunday church is passed, and as a true child of YAH you are still on thos earth and wish to go to the Heavens for eternity, you should not obey that Sunday law but rather flee like the Israelites did during the time mentioned in the Chanukah/Hanukkah story and Matthew 24. The Mark of the Beast will be given in the Sunday churches. BEWARE for the sake of your soul!!!
The words the Priest says to the participant: To me, they are not a reminder of the mortality of mankind but rather a curse being placed on each person receiving the cross on their forehead in the form of ashes. Remember that what YAHUVEH ELOHIM (a.k.a YAHWEH; GOD THE FATHER) in the Book of Genesis actually placed a curse upon mankind for sinning against HIM. It was not part of YAH’S Will for mankind to die or become mortal after mankind’s creation. Death came through disobedience to YAH/ELOHIM. That cross in the forehead is a curse upon whoever receives it. The priest who places it on their forehead is actually decreeing death (untimely earthly and/or eternal death rather than life) into that participant. This links to the “Mark of the beast” which we discuss further on. The fact that ashes from palm trees used the previous year on Palm Sunday being burned are used also gives me great/serious concern. There is an ominous feeling that comes with it. I would not take that or even allow my loved ones to do so.

 

Remember the Holy Biblical Scriptures say that “…the Righteous shall flourish like a Palm tree…” Palm trees are a symbol of flourishing. Why then use them to commemorate immortality and death???

 

(From Ash Wednesday until the day before Easter), you can not eat meat on Ash Wednesday (says who???), which marks 40 days before Easter and the beginning of Lent.

According to the Catholic law of abstinence, Catholics aged 14 and older must refrain from meat on Fridays altogether during this 40-day period, as well as Ash Wednesday. Now, I understand why it was said when I was growing up that it is not good to eat any meat (except fish) on “Good Friday”. I always questioned why but didn’t get any answers.

 

What are the origins in terms of the Significance of the Forehead Cross?

The forehead cross has different meanings to different people, the most common being a symbol of God.

Some theories also suggest that gang members will choose to have a small cross showing they are a convict or have served time in prison.

What is it and Why is it an important day for Christians?

Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent – is the period of self-restraint and abstention for Christians prior to Easter. It marks the first day of fasting, repentance, prayer and self-control.

According to some sources, name ‘Day of Ashes’ comes from the Latin words “Dies Cinerum” in the Roman Missal and is found in the earliest existing copies of the Gregorian Sacramentary. The concept originated by the Roman Catholics somewhere in the 6th century. Though the exact origin of the day is not clear, the custom of marking the head with ashes on this Day is said to have originated during the papacy of Gregory the Great (590-604).

In the Old Testament ashes were found to have been used for two purposes:

• as a sign of humility and mortality; and as a sign of sorrow and
• repentance for sin.

[My comment here is that: This may be the case according to the Holy Biblical Scriptures but not necessarily the real meaning behind those who practise it around this time of year. Remember it is all about mourning for Nimrod’s son’s (a.k.a Tammuz) death. This was covered up in order to draw the Messianic Jews in thereby creating Christianity and removing the divide between the Messianic Jews and pagans in the ancient Roman Kingdom. Eventually, it has been spread all over the world now and is deemed okay for Christians to observe.]

The Christian connotation for ashes in the liturgy of Ash Wednesday has also been taken from this Old Testament biblical custom/Receiving ashes on the head as a reminder of mortality and a sign of sorrow for sin was a practice of the Anglo-Saxon church in the 10th century. It was made universal throughout the Western church at the Synod of Benevento in 1091.

Originally the use of ashes to betoken penance was a matter of private devotion. Later it became part of the official rite for reconciling public penitents. In this context, ashes on the penitent served as a motive for fellow Christians to pray for the returning sinner and to feel sympathy for him. Still later, the use of ashes passed into its present rite of beginning the penitential season of Lent on Ash Wednesday.

Now, the question is why mark people with the sign of a cross in the forehead with ashes from the burning of palm trees from those which were harvested in the previous year?

Putting a ‘cross’ mark on the forehead on Ash Wednesday is an imitation of the giving of the Spiritual Mark/Seal that is put on a Christian during infant baptism.

According to Roman Catholic and Anglican/Protestant tradition, this is when the newly born Christian is delivered from slavery to sin and the devil, and made a slave of righteousness and Christ (Rom. 6:3-18).

???……But is this really the case? Think about it?

Note that the original Scriptures in the Hebrew language actually use the word “immersed” and not baptised as translated today.

The issue of SEALING and MARKING is so important to YAH/ELOHIM as seen throughout the Holy Biblical Scriptures. Since Satan came into existence as the enemy of YAH, YAH had to create a way to make people stand out in relation to whom they honour as their God. One of the ways to do that is to SEAL and MARK. As human beings on this earth, we therefore have a conscious decision to make throughout our lives on earth in relation to our eternal destiny.
Shrove Tuesday, Ash Wednesday, Lent, Maundy/Moundy Thursday and Easter/Ishtar have never been created by YAH/ELOHIM and are actually dishonoured and disregarded by YAH plus all the Heavens!!! They all have one thing in common which is that they are rooted in paganism. They give honour to Satan, who is YAH’S arch enemy. These days are not honoured in the Heavens at all. The entire period of 40 days leading up to Easter/Ishtar as well as Easter/Ishtar itself is all about King Nimrod of old and his family. It is all about celebrating fertility and the coming out of the sun (summer solstice) which leads up to summer time.

No true and/or faithful child of YAH/ELOHIM should observe any of these days in the year as they do not give any glory to YAH Almighty but rather mankind and satan!

YAHUVEH (a.k.a YAHWEH) ELOHIM said the following to HIS Prophet Ezekiel:

YAH is constantly separating the wheat from the chaff. Yahuchanan/John the Immerser/Baptist prophesied this about YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH (a.k.a JESUS CHRIST/YESHUA) before baptising him:

¹⁶ John answered them all, saying, “As for me, I immerse you with water. But One is coming who is mightier than I am; I am not worthy to untie the strap of His sandals! He will immerse you in the Ruach ha-Kodeshand fire. ¹⁷ His winnowing fork is in His hand to clear His threshing floor and gather the wheat into His barn, but the chaff He will burn up with inextinguishable fire.” ^{[a] 18} So with many other exhortations, John proclaimed Good News to the people.

Even during Noah’s time, YAH separated HIS Righteous ones from the unrighteous ones using the Ark which HE got Noah to build. Everyone who entered the ark was saved from perishing through the Great Flood whereas everyone else who mocked and shunned Noah ended up perishing just like the chaff will perish by being burned up in everlasting fire (a.k.a hell) as seen in Matthew 22, Revelation and elsewhere in the Holy Biblical Scriptures.

We see YAH/ELOHIM say something very similar concerning separating HIS Righteous ones from the unrighteous ones in the Book of Revelation:

Once again, YAH separates the RIGHTEOUS in HIS eyes from the unrighteous in HIS eyes. HE uses a SEAL to distinguish between the two.

 

 

Ash Wednesday actually points to Revelation 13:16-18 (The Mark of the beast):

¹⁸ Here is wisdom: let the one who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is a number of a man, and his number is 666.

The very sign chosen to mark the people who observe the feast day, that is to say, the “cross on the forehead” is one of the symbols that is part of the mark of the beast which will be given in the future.

The tradition of “Ash Wednesday” is a preparation for the Great Tribulation as it has the Mark of the Beast signs written all over it. Note that, what Apostle Yahuchanan/John saw as per the Book of Revelation were symbols and not numbers.

The following is what Apostle Yahuchanan/John saw:

When translated to the Hebrew language, the Greek Letter”Chi” is actually the “Tav”. This “tav” letter appears as a cross and in fact used to be written as a cross in the original Hebrew alphabet from Adam’s and Eve’s time on earth (in ancient Hebrew script) but was changed later on in history. It is also believed that this was the mark placed on Cain to make him stand out.

It is interesting that it is the same Hebrew Letter that was chosen to create the form of punish used by the Romans duringAbraham’s time on earth and YAHUSHUA’S time on earth as well as before and after that. A lot of Emperors and Popes of Rome used it to torture and kill Orthodox Jews, Messianic Jews and others. It was a method of stigmatisation and torture.

Note that in the Book of Revelation, YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH revealed to HIS Apostle Yahuchanan/John that the mark of the beast will be given on the forehead or right hand. Why here? This subject is explored in great detail here (The Sh’ma/Shema) and here (The Mark of the Beast) and here (The Mark of the Beast – further info).

Ezekiel 9 actually says is to place a “tav” symbol on the foreheads of the righteous inhabitants of Jerusalem.

“Tav” is one of the letters of the Hebrew alphabet, and in ancient script it looked like the Greek letter “chi”, which happens to be two crossed lines (like an “x”) and which happens to be the first letter in the word “Christ” in Greek Christos). Interestingly enough, there have been comments made by some Jewish rabbis with regards to the connection between “tav” and “chi” and claim that this is undoubtedly the “mark” which Revelation 7 has in mind when the servants of YAH are sealed in it. But is it really? I have a hard time believing this is true.

The early Church Fathers seized on this “tav-chi-cross-christos” connection and expounded it in their homilies, seeing in Ezekiel a prophetic foreshadowing of the sealing of Christians as servants of Christ. It is also part of the background to the Catholic practice of making the sign of the cross, which in the early centuries (as can be documented from the second century on) was practiced by using one’s thumb to furrow one’s brow with a small sign of the cross, like Catholics do today at the reading of the Gospel during Mass.

So, in conclusion, we should beware of the “Traditions of men” which YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH (a.k.a JESUS CHRIST/YESHUA) and later Apostle Shaul/Paul warned against in the Brit Chadashah (a.k.a New Covenant/Testament)!!!

Beware of Requirements Invented by Humans
