The Hebrew Year 5779 & Roman Gregorian Year 2019: THE SPIRITUAL IMPLICATIONS

As we round up the year 5778 and 2018, it is a time of reflection! The questions to ask are:

How have we fared spiritually and physically in 5778/2018?

What does YAH (a.k.a ELOHIM) Almighty have in store for us in the New Year?

(Apologies: this teaching is still works in progress. To be completed.)…

We’re now in the year 5779 and 2019 (simultaneously).

When broken down, we place more emphasis on the last two digits as they are the ones which change each year, that is to say in this case,

  • 79 (= 70 + 9)

  • 19 ( = 10 + 9)

2019: The Year of the GLORY Of YAH Almighty

(Teaching: “GLORY of the LORD,” What is it?)

The Year of the “Yod (a.k.a Yud) Tet”

As it is written suspended in the air, the “yod” is the smallest of all the Aleph-Bet letters.

It is the form from which all the other letters are written.

Remember that YAH Almighty uses all the Hebrew Aleph-Bet letters as building blocks of creation, “yod” indicates YAH a.k.a ELOHIM’S Almighty’s omnipresence!

Note/Remember that GOD THE FATHER’S Name as revealed in Exodus 3:15 is written as:

YOD HEY VAV HEY (often abbreviated as YHVH or YHWH)

When written out in full, it is:

YAHUVEH

The Ony One and True GOD Almighty’s Name in Hebrew is:

YOD HEY

When written out in full, it is:

YAH

Note/Remember that GOD THE TRINITY each bear a name with this name, “YAH” in it as follows:

  • ABBA YAHUVEH (a.k.a YAHWEH)

  • YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH (a.k.a YAHSHUA; YAHUSHUA)

  • SHKINYINYAH GLORY (a.k.a RUACH HA KODESH; HOLY SPIRIT)

The word “yod” itself is composed of three letters which are: yod, vav and dalet which signify:

  • It begins with “yod” itself which is a dot then moves downwards from the Divine toward the created order to form the “vav” ( the “hook” of creation).

  • Finally, it moves outward in the horizontal realm as the “dalet” (the “doorway” of creation)

The Holy Biblical Scriptures tell us that YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH upholds the world by The Power of HIS WORD and the “yod” is part of every Hebrew Aleph-Bet letter and therefore every word, “yod” is considered THE STARTING POINT OF THE PRESENCE OF YAH ALMIGHTY IN ALL THINGS – The “spark” of the Spirit/Ruach in everything.

See these Holy Biblical Scriptures:

John 1:1 King James Version (KJV)

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Colossians 1:16-20 New King James Version (NKJV)

16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or [a]principalities or [b]powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. 17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. 18 And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.

Hebrews 1:1-4 King James Version (KJV)

God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

Who being the brightness of HIS Glory, and the express image of HIS person, and upholding all things by The WORD of HIS power, when HE had by HIMSELF purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:

Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

The Hebrew Aleph-Bet letter “yod” being the smallest of the letters is also a picture of “humility”.

When the following Holy Biblical Scriptures are written in Hebrew, you see an extra “yod” letter where the word “humility” appears in the Hebrew language.

Numbers 12:3 New King James Version (NKJV)

(Now the man Moses was very humble, more than all men who were on the face of the earth.)

Compare versions:

Bamidbar 12:3 Orthodox Jewish Bible (OJB)

(Now the man Moshe was anav me’od, above all the men which were upon the face of ha’adamah.)

The Jewish scribes say that an extra “yod” is inserted in the word “ana” (meaning “humble” or “meek”) to emphasise the meekness of Moshe/Moses.

Israel is considered to be “the smallest nation” therefore making it a type of “yod” before the greatest nations of the world:

Devarim 7:7 Orthodox Jewish Bible (OJB)

Hashem did not set His love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of kol ha’ammim;

Compare versions:

Deuteronomy 7:7 New King James Version (NKJV)

The Lord did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any other people, for you were the least of all peoples;

When Ya’akov fought with YAH’S Holy Angel and prevailed, HE was blessed by the Holy Angel. The blessing was the changing of his name from Ya’Akov to Y’isra’EL! Note that the “yod” letter appears in both names. All that remained of his former name was the “yod”. Ya’akov was surely humbled through this encounter!

Genesis 35:9-15 Names of God Bible (NOG)

Jacob’s Sixth Encounter with God—His Name Changed to Israel

Then Elohim appeared once more to Jacob after he came back from Paddan Aram, and he blessed him. 10 Elohim said to him, “Your name is Jacob. You will no longer be called Jacob, but your name will be Israel.” So he named him Israel.

11 Elohim also said to him, “I am El Shadday. Be fertile, and increase in number. A nation and a community of nations will come from you, and kings will come from you. 12 I will give you the land that I gave to Abraham and Isaac. I will also give this land to your descendants.” 13 Then Elohim went up from him at the place where he had spoken with him. 14 So Jacob set up a memorial, a stone marker, to mark the place where Elohim had spoken with him. He poured a wine offering and olive oil on it. 15 Jacob named the place where Elohim had spoken with him Bethel [House of God].

Compare versions:

Bereshis 35:9-15 Orthodox Jewish Bible (OJB)

And Elohim appeared unto Ya’akov again, when he returned from Padan Aram, and made a brocha upon him.

1And Elohim said unto him, Shimcha is Ya’akov; shimcha shall not be called any more Ya’akov, but Yisroel shall be shemecha; and He called shmo Yisroel.

11 And Elohim said unto him, I am El Shaddai; be fruitful and multiply; a Goy (nation) and a Kehal Goyim shall be from thee, and Melechim shall come out of thy loins;

12 And HaAretz which I gave Avraham and Yitzchak, to thee I will give it, and to thy zera after thee will I give HaAretz.

13 And Elohim went up from him in the makom where He talked with him.

14 And Ya’akov set up a matzevah (pillar, monument) in the makom where He talked with him, even a matzevat even (pillar of stone); and he poured a nesech (drink offering) thereon, and he poured shemen (oil) thereon.

15 And Ya’akov called the shem of the makom where Elohim spoke with him, Beit- El.

Y’isra’EL’s life changed enormously from henceforth!

The “yod” being the smallest of the Aleph-Bet letters is vital in the sense that it bears a “kotz” (the small serif at the bottom of the “face” of the yod’s head and is the smallest of the markings made in the Hebrew text).

The following Holy Biblical Scriptures depict the importance of every detail of  YAH’S TORAH, WORD:

Mattityahu 5:18 Orthodox Jewish Bible (OJB)

18 For, omein, truly I say to you, until Shomayim and haaretz pass away, not one yod, not one tag (ornamental flourish), will pass from the Torah until everything is accomplished.

compare versions:

Matthew 5:18 Names of God Bible (NOG)

18 I can guarantee this truth: Until the earth and the heavens disappear, neither a period nor a comma will disappear from the Scriptures before everything has come true.

Lukas 16:17 Orthodox Jewish Bible (OJB)

17 But it is easier for HaShomayim and HaAretz to pass away than for one tag (ornamental flourish) of the Torah to fail.

Compare versions:

Luke 16:17 Names of God Bible (NOG)

17 It is easier for the earth and the heavens to disappear than to drop a comma from the Scriptures.

The Jewish scribes state that a TORAH Scroll (possul) is only valid when the serif of the “yod” is included.

Just as the kotz is vital in writing the TORAH when writing the “yod” letter so are those who are the smallest, weakest and most insignificant in the world to YAH Almighty! Through such, YAH Almighty’s Power and Glory tend to be demonstrated and displayed the most.

Since every letter of the TORAH is important to YAH Almighty keeping in mind that none of the letters are the same or are malformed or can be touching, you can trust that your life is significant to YAH Almighty and is included in HIS Great Plan for Creation, that is to say:

Romans 8:28 New King James Version (NKJV)

28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

Yirmeyah 29:11 Orthodox Jewish Bible (OJB)

11 For I know the machshavot (thoughts, plans) that I think toward you, saith Hashem, machshavot shalom, and not of ra’ah, to give you an acharit (future) and a tikvah (hope).

Compare versions:

Jeremiah 29:11 Names of God Bible (NOG)

11 I know the plans that I have for you, declares Yahweh. They are plans for peace and not disaster, plans to give you a future filled with hope.

The “yod” is made up of three parts when drawing it, namely,

  • the upper prong called the “tag” – points to ABBA YAHUVEH (GOD THE FATHER)
  • a lower line curved downward – points to the earth

and

  • a middle section – the unifying point as it holds and top and bottom together hence pointing to YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH who is our mediator

“Yod” signifies YAH’S Divinity and Unity! Just as there are three parts within the “yod” letter, there are three Members of the Holy Trinity GODHEAD namely:

  • YAHUVEH
  • YAHUSHUA
  • SHKINYINYAH GLORY a.k.a IMMAYAH a.k.a RUACH HA KODESH

They are three but ONE/ECHAD!

“Yod” means “ARM” or “HAND”.

Its form suggests a hand reaching out to the Shammayim/Heavens.

The letter also somehow resembles a man in prayer hence suggesting humility and submission. Note that the Gematria value of the “yod” is 20 (yod + vav + dalet) which is the same for the Hebrew root for vision – chazah:

Chet Zayin Hey

Image result for the letter yod meaning

The understanding  in the connection is that when you humble yourself before YAH Almighty particularly in prayer as well as all aspects of life generally, you behold YAH Almighty as well as what YAH wishes you to see, that is YAH gives you visions.

In relation to the Hebrew Aleph-Bet letter “yod” bearing the numerical value of 10, we see that the spiritual implication is:

COMPLETION, ORDER.

This can be summarised in the Hebrew language as:

SHELEMUT

which comes from the Hebrew word: SHALOM

This is evidenced in various ways particularly in the Holy Biblical Scriptures, for example:

  • Universally, the base number is 10. Just as the “yod” letter is part of each Aleph-Bet letter as a component so is the number 10 part of all the numbers. In fact, it is said that:

“Yod” does not mean 10 because we have ten fingers and toes but rather we have ten fingers and toes because “yod” means 10.

  • There were 10 things created on the first day of creation and 10 things created on the last/sixth day of creation.

  • There were 10 generations from Adam to Noach/Noah thereby suggesting that the GODlessness of those generations was complete.

  • There were 10 generations from Noach/Noah to Avraham/Abraham hence suggesting that the GODLINESS of those generations was complete.

  • The Holy Biblical Scriptures and other pieces of Jewish/Hebrew literature reveal that Avraham/Abraham was tested 10 times as a demonstration of his merit as the Father of Nations.

  • There were 10 plagues released upon Mitzrayim/Egypt before the release of the Children of Israel/Israel from slavery.

  • On Shavu’ot/Weeks/Pentectost,  YAH Almighty gave us Ten Commandments.

  • Tithes: YAH Almighty requires us to pay tithes which are one tenth of what HE blesses us with.  According to Leviticus 27:32, the tenth part shall be holy unto the Lord YAHUVEH!

Leviticus 27:32 Names of God Bible (NOG)

32 Every tenth head of cattle or sheep that you counted is holy and belongs to Yahweh.

Deuteronomy 14:22 New King James Version (NKJV)

Tithing Principles

22 “You shall truly tithe all the increase of your grain that the field produces year by year.

  • There are ten days of Awe, that is to say, from Tishri/Tishrei 1 to Tishri 10 which culminate on Yom Kippur/Day of Atonement – the 10th day of Tishri.

  • Ten men are required for the minyan.

A minyan is a complete quorum needed for corporate Jewish prayer.

Isaiah 26:4 New King James Version (NKJV)

Trust in the Lord forever,
For in Yah, the Lordis [a]everlasting strength.

Compare versions:

Isaiah 26:4 Names of God Bible (NOG)

Trust Yahweh always,
because YahYahweh alone, is an everlasting rock.

“Yod” is the first letter of the Divine Name of ABBA and MASHIACH (HIS Only Begotten Son), that is to say, YAHUVEH and YAHUSHUA hence indicating its preeminence.

Interestingly, the Children f Y’isra’EL a.k.a the Jewish people are given four names and they all begin with the “yod” Hebrew Aleph-Bet letter in the Hebrew language:

  • Y’isra’EL (or Israel) a.k.a Ya’akov  (or Jacob)
  • YAHudim (a.k.a Yehudim or Jews)
  • YAHushurun (a.k.a Yeshurun or Jeshurun)

The name “Jeshurun” is generally thought to be derived from a root word meaning:

 upright, just or straight,

(The root word for Jeshurun is yashar which means: to be upright or righteous)

but may have been derived from:

שׁור, shur, to see,

or is:

a diminutive form of the word Israel (יִשְׂרָאֵל‬ Yiśrāʾēl).

Jeshurun appears four times in the Hebrew Bible: three times in Deuteronomy and once in Isaiah.

Deuteronomy 32:15-17 Names of God Bible (NOG)

15 Jeshurun[a] got fat and disrespectful.
(You got fat! You were stuffed! You were gorged!)
They abandoned the Elohim who made them
and treated the rock of their salvation like a fool.
16 They made him furious because they worshiped foreign gods
and angered him because they worshiped worthless idols.
17 They sacrificed to demons that are not Elohim,
to gods they never heard of.
These were new gods, who came from nearby,
            gods your ancestors never worshiped.

Deuteronomy 33:5 Names of God Bible (NOG)

Yahweh was king of Jeshurun[a]
when the leaders of the people assembled
together with all the tribes of Israel.

Isaiah 44:2 Names of God Bible (NOG)

Yahweh made you, formed you in the womb, and will help you.

This is what Yahweh says:

Don’t be afraid, my servant Jacob,
    Jeshurun,[a] whom I have chosen.

Just a note on “Jeshurun”:

The root word for Jeshurun is yashar which means to be upright or righteous. When I examine the built in commentary in this word, I find the word is spelled Yod, Shin, and Resh.

This combination of letters suggests being filled with the fire of the RUACH HA KODESH.

  • It represents someone or certain people who are chosen by YAH Almighty, given special favour by YAH Almighty to accomplish something for HIM.

Do you ever get that feeling that YAH ALmighty has given you special favor, which HE has endowed you with a something special from the RUACH KODESH to carry out some special task?  Then HE has called you Jeshurun.

But say, this is more than just standing up giving a testimony and saying, “Oh yes, YAH Almighty has given me a beautiful house, car etc.”  and then smugly sitting back basking in your blessings.  If that is the case you have ended up like Deuteronomy 32:15, fat, spoiled and demanding like the old cow ready to start kicking if something interrupts your comfortable lifestyle.  Perhaps that beautiful house, car etc. was given by YAH Almighty for a special purpose beyond your own pleasure.  Perhaps He may just decide to take it away.

There is a shadow to these letters in the word Jeshurun.  The Yod, Shin and Resh also indicate that you can become ungrounded when you let the passions of this world consume you.    There is a danger to the natural blessings of YAH Almighty and that is to become too attached to them.  As Job said:

“The Lord YAHUVEH gives and the Lord takes away, blessed be the name of the Lord YAHUVEH.”  (Job 1:21).

C.S. Lewis described how parents will dote on a newborn baby and give it everything it wants.  But when it grows older, much of that attention ceases as that child must learn to find its way.   So too as newly born of RUACH HA KODESH through Emunah/Faith in YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH by YAH’S Grace alone we probably felt we found a genie in a bottle who granted our every prayer request.  As we grow older in our relationship with YAH Almighty that attention from YAH may not seem as intense.  Perhaps YAH is saying:

“It is time to look beyond yourself and see a world out there that is in need.”

We get so uses to YAH’S constant attention we start to become like the fat old cows and start kicking when we are not getting that immediate response from YAH.  We become too attached to the blessings of YAH rather than to YAH HIMSELF.

Yet, notice that YAH is addressing these fat old cows as Jeshurun.  Even though we, (I say we, but I am referring to myself) allow ourselves to become fat old cows, kicking and screaming when we are forced out of our comfort zone, YAH still calls us Jeshurun.  HE is letting me know that I am not being fattened up for the slaughter, but for HIS service and I need to get on the tread mill and start to slim down.

In conclusion, as the very first letter of GOD’S Name, “yod” shows that:

  • YAH Almighty is RUACH/SPIRIT
  • YAH is One/Echad

and

  • that from YAH derive all things by the power of HIS WORD.

The Hebrew Aleph-Bet letter “Ayin”

Image result for the letter tet hebrew4christians

The Ancient picture for this letter is  and is a picture of:

an eye.

This letter represents:

  • seeing
  • watching

as well as by extension:

  • knowledge
  • to understand
  • to bey

as:

the eye is the window of knowledge.

The name of the letter is ayin, a Semitic word meaning eye.

Jeremiah 5:21 Names of God Bible (NOG)

21 Hear this, you stupid and senseless people!
You have eyes, but you cannot see.
You have ears, but you cannot hear.

Isaiah 6:10 Names of God Bible (NOG)

10 Make these people close-minded.
    Plug their ears.
        Shut their eyes.
Otherwise, they may see with their eyes,
        hear with their ears,
    understand with their minds,
        and return and be healed.”

Matthew 13:15 Names of God Bible (NOG)

15 These people have become close-minded
    and hard of hearing.
        They have shut their eyes
so that their eyes never see.
        Their ears never hear.
    Their minds never understand.
And they never return to me for healing!’

  • This letter is silent in Modern Hebrew.

  • There is no indication that the ancient Semitic had a sound for this letter as well and appears to have been silent in the past.

  • The Greek language assigned the vowel sound “o” to the letter and may be the origin of the number 0.

  • As Hebrew did not have one letter for the “o” sound the Greeks took this silent letter and converted it into a vowel.

  • The early Semitic  evolved into the simpler  in the middle Semitic and remained the same into the late Semitic period.

  • This letter evolved into the ע in the Modern Hebrew script. The middle Semitic became the O in Greek and Latin.

Image result for the ayin letter

It is the 16th letter of the Hebrew Aleph-Bet with the numeric value of 70.

It is constructed with a

  • “yod” (with a descending line)

and

  • “zayin” (embedded)

“Ayin” further represents the PRIMEVAL LIGHT, that is to say, the SPIRITUAL LIGHT mentioned in Genesis 1:3 as opposed to the celestial lights mentioned in Genesis 1:14-18.

Genesis 1:3 Names of God Bible (NOG)

Then Elohim said, “Let there be light!” So there was light.

Note that the Divine Light of Genesis 1:3 is greater than the light that emanates from the sun, moon and stars!

Though concealed in the TORAH, the spiritual eye can behold the radiance of the Genesis 1 LIGHT – only  by means of the inner eye given by RUACH HA KODESH!

The “ayin” can be described as bearing two eyes which both have a connection to the brain through the optic nerve as we are taught in Biology, that is to say,

  • Good

and

  • Evil – “Ayin ra”

When the eye is evil, it becomes a slave to the purposes of sin and the evil impulse/yetzer hara:

Numbers 15:39 Names of God Bible (NOG)

39 Whenever you look at the threads in the tassel, you will remember all Yahweh’s commands and obey them. Then you won’t do whatever you want and go after whatever you see, as if you were chasing after prostitutes.

In summary,

  • the eyes see
  • the heart covets

and

the body transgresses

The both eyes represent choice, that is actions of the will – the heart (part of the soul). We can choose to use either eye in order to perceive things (negatively or positively, etc), for example, we can choose to see the glass as either half full or half empty.

The “ayin” letter is one the silent Hebrew Aleph-Bet letters. Another other is the “aleph” (a.k.a “alef”). There is a saying that goes as follows:

The “ayin” sees but does not speak!

As a result, the “ayin” represents the attitude of humility/anavah.

The following words begin with “ayin”:

Good/Positive

“Anavah” (meaning: “humility”)

“Avodah” (meaning “service”)

“ol” (meaning “yoke”)

Evil/Negative

“Avodah zara” (meaning “Idolatry”)

“Avedut” (meaning “Slavery”)

These are born out of the heart of envy.

Matthew 6:22-23 Names of God Bible (NOG)

22 “The eye is the lamp of the body. So if your eye is unclouded, your whole body will be full of light. 23 But if your eye is evil, your whole body will be full of darkness. If the light in you is darkness, how dark it will be!

Image result for the year 5779 images

Every human being is considered to be a little world/olam katan in the Hebrew language and culture.

Why?

The eye reflects the olam/world outside and reveals the olam/world inside. Every human being’s outlook on life exposes their character. This throws more light on what YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH said in MattitYAHU/Matthew 6:22-23 concerning the eye being the light of the body.

If the eye is healthy, then it means that the whole body is full of LIGHT however if the eye is unhealthy, then it implies that the whole body if full of Darkness. This why those who are genuinely again in YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH are called to be the LIGHT of the world as YAHUSHUA’S Ambassadors. The more SPIRITUAL LIGHT we emit individually the GREATER the LIGHT of YAH Almighty will be in the entire world thereby swallowing/overcoming the darkness all around us.

The good eye/ayin tovah is matched up with the desire to be benevolent whereas the evil eye/ayin hara is matched up with the desire to be greedy and envious (particularly through the mouth).

One summary of  the spiritual implications of The year 5779/2019 is:

Luke 9:23 King James Version (KJV)

23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

SHALOM!

One of the secrets to what is in store for mankind during each year and month is in the Holy Biblical Scriptures. Let us start with Psalms 19 and 20 as well as 79 and 57 as follows:

Psalm 19 Names of God Bible (NOG)

Psalm 19

For the choir director; a psalm by David.

The heavens declare the glory of El,
and the sky displays what his hands have made.

One day tells a story to the next.
One night shares knowledge with the next
without talking,
    without words,
    without their voices being heard.
Yet, their sound has gone out into the entire world,
their message to the ends of the earth.
He has set up a tent in the heavens for the sun,
which comes out of its chamber like a bridegroom.
Like a champion, it is eager to run its course.
It rises from one end of the heavens.
It circles around to the other.
Nothing is hidden from its heat.

The teachings of Yahweh are perfect.
    They renew the soul.
The testimony of Yahweh is dependable.
    It makes gullible people wise.
The instructions of Yahweh are correct.
    They make the heart rejoice.
The command of Yahweh is radiant.
    It makes the eyes shine.
The fear of Yahweh is pure.
    It endures forever.
The decisions of Yahweh are true.
    They are completely fair.
10 They are more desirable than gold, even the finest gold.
They are sweeter than honey, even the drippings from a honeycomb.
11 As your servant I am warned by them.
There is a great reward in following them.

12 Who can notice every mistake?
    Forgive my hidden faults.
13 Keep me from sinning.
Do not let anyone gain control over me.
        Then I will be blameless,
and I will be free from any great offense.

14 May the words from my mouth and the thoughts from my heart
be acceptable to you, O Yahweh, my rock and my Go’el.

Psalm 20 Names of God Bible (NOG)

Psalm 20

For the choir director; a psalm by David.

Yahweh will answer you in times of trouble.
The name of the Elohim of Jacob will protect you.
He will send you help from his holy place
    and support you from Zion.
He will remember all your grain offerings
and look with favor on your burnt offerings. Selah
He will give you your heart’s desire
and carry out all your plans.

We will joyfully sing about your victory.
We will wave our flags in the name of our Elohim.
Yahweh will fulfill all your requests.

Now I know that Yahweh will give victory to his anointed king.
He will answer him from his holy heaven
with mighty deeds of his powerful hand.
Some rely on chariots and others on horses,
but we will boast in the name of Yahweh our Elohim.
They will sink to their knees and fall,
but we will rise and stand firm.

Give victory to the king, O Yahweh.
    Answer us when we call.

Psalm 79 Names of God Bible (NOG)

Psalm 79

A psalm by Asaph.

Elohim, the nations have invaded the land that belongs to you.
They have dishonored your holy temple.
They have left Jerusalem in ruins.
They have given the dead bodies of your servants
    to the birds for food.
They have given the flesh of your godly ones
        to the animals.
They have shed the blood of your people around Jerusalem
    as though it were water.
There is no one to bury your people.

We have become a disgrace to our neighbors,
an object of ridicule and contempt to those around us.
How long, O Yahweh?
    Will you remain angry forever?
Will your fury continue to burn like fire?
Pour your fury on the nations that do not know you,
on the kingdoms that have not called you.
        They have devoured Jacob.
        They have destroyed his home.
Do not hold the crimes of our ancestors against us.
Reach out to us soon with your compassion,
    because we are helpless.
Help us, O Elohim, our savior, for the glory of your name.
Rescue us, and forgive our sins for the honor of your name.

10 Why should the nations be allowed to say,
    “Where is their Elohim?”
Let us watch as the nations learn
that there is punishment for shedding the blood of your servants.
11 Let the groans of prisoners come into your presence.
With your powerful arm rescue those who are condemned to death.
12 Pay each one of our neighbors back
with seven times the number of insults they used to insult you, O Adonay.
13 Then we, your people, the flock in your pasture,
will give thanks to you forever.
We will praise you throughout every generation.

Psalm 57 Names of God Bible (NOG)

Psalm 57

For the choir director; al tashcheth;[a] a miktam by David when he fled from Saul into the cave.

Have pity on me, O Elohim. Have pity on me,
because my soul takes refuge in you.
I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings
            until destructive storms pass by.
I call to Elohim Elyon,
to El who does everything for me.
He sends his help from heaven and saves me.
He disgraces the one who is harassing me. Selah
Elohim sends his mercy and his truth!
My soul is surrounded by lions.
I must lie down with man-eating lions.
Their teeth are spears and arrows.
    Their tongues are sharp swords.
May you be honored above the heavens, O Elohim.
Let your glory extend over the whole earth.

My enemies spread out a net to catch me.
    (My soul is bowed down.)[b]
They dug a pit to trap me,
but then they fell into it. Selah
My heart is confident, O Elohim.
    My heart is confident.
I want to sing and make music.[c]
Wake up, my soul![d]
    Wake up, harp and lyre!
I want to wake up at dawn.
I want to give thanks to you among the people, O Adonay.
I want to make music to praise you among the nations
10 because your mercy is as high as the heavens.
    Your truth reaches the skies.

11 May you be honored above the heavens, O Elohim.
Let your glory extend over the whole earth.

70: Biblical/Spiritual Implications

The number 70 has already been discussed on this website.

Seventy is a double-sided coin, representing on one hand the ultimate unity, and on the other hand, the epitome of disunity.

9: Biblical/Spiritual Implications

The number 9 is the repeated in both years hence passing a very important message to mankind.

YAH Almighty speaks through numbers.

The number 9 is the largest and last digit correlating “finality” and completeness. The number of finality or judgment is committed unto YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH as “the Son of YAH” (John 5:27; Acts 17:31).

It marks the end and issue of all things as to man — the judgment of man and all his works.

The use of the number 9 (nine) as a numerical symbol in the Holy Biblical Scriptures is unique and somewhat diverse but there are two striking verses:

  • the nine parts of the FRUIT of RUACH HA KODESH (a.k.a SHKINYINYAH GLORY)

  • the nine GIFTS of RUACH HA KODESH

The Ninth Hour – the Hour of Prayer

Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour. (Acts 3:1)

And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and, behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing (Acts 10:30).

Twice in Book of Acts the “ninth hour” is associated with prayer, and in both cases the verse indices are a combination of 1 and 3 (Acts 3:1 and 10:30).

The second case is particularly intriguing because the Number 1030 is the value of the word for intercessory prayer (entuxis) which is itself twice the value of the fundamental Hebrew word for prayer (tiphlah = 515), and this is the index of James 5:15, the famous verse concerning the “prayer of faith.”

The Bible Wheel

The 9 judgments of YAH Almighty

The judgments of YAH in Haggai 1:11 are enumerated as follows:

  1. “And I called for a drought upon the land,
  2. and upon the mountains,
  3. and upon the corn,
  4. and upon the new wine,
  5. and upon the oil,
  6. and upon that which the ground bringeth forth,
  7. and upon men,
  8. and upon cattle,
  9. and upon all the labor of the hands.”

In summary, the number 9 (nine) represents several aspects of our day to day life including the fruits and gifts of the spirit, prayer and intercession and signifies completeness or judgement.

10: Biblical Spiritual Implications

The number 10 (the tenth Hebrew letter is “yod”):

Ten

yohdEsehr [f.], ahsahrah [m.]

Divine order,

completed cycle,

measure, or group (congregation) whether for good or evil,

blessing or judgment.

A tenth part represents the whole in a tithe.

Thus, ten represents a complete congregation, body, or kingdom, whether good or evil.

  • Tenth Hebrew letter: Yohd Numerical value of ten. Pictographic meaning hand, work, worship, deeds, fist, power, congregation. Shows the possessive singular and past singular.
  • Ten Commandments
  • Ten Plagues
  • Abraham endured 10 trials.
  • For the sake of 10 righteous people, YHWH would have spared Sodom. (Gen. 18)
  • Abraham’s servant brought 10 camels as gifts to Rebecca. He knew she was the one because she watered them. (Gen, 24) Her brother (Laban) and her mother wanted her tarry with them for ten days. Could these represent the 10 Words and what helps the Bride to endure the wilderness until she meets her Groom?
  • Laban changed Jacob’s wages ten times. (Gen. 31:7)
  • Ten of Joseph’s brothers had to go down to Egypt to buy grain because of famine. (Gen. 42:3) Joseph sent them back with ten donkeys loaded with goods and ten female donkeys loaded with grain. (Gen, 45:23)
  • On the 10th of the month of Aviv (Nisan), lambs were set-apart for each household and inspected for the Passover sacrifice. (Ex. 12) This was mirrored by Yeshua’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem on the 10th of Aviv as the sacrificial Lamb of G-d. He was also “inspected” in the four days before Passover as the Lamb of God. (Mt. 21:1-11, Mark 11:1-11, Luke 19:28-44, John 12)
  • Israel rebelled 10 times in the wilderness. (Num. 14:22)
  • Israelites gathered at least 10 homers of quail in the wilderness. Those that ate it died with the meat between their teeth. (Num. 11:32)
  • There were 10 of 12 spies that gave a bad report to Israel, costing them forty more years (4 x 10)  in the wilderness.
  • Foundation of Tabernacle was made from 10 x 10 silver sockets.
  • Fire came down from heaven 10 times (6 were in judgment).
  • Boaz sat before TEN men (elders/rulers) at the city gate to redeem the field of Naomi (Elimelech) and to also take Ruth as his wife to carry on the name of his deceased relative (Levirate marriage), Mahlon. (Ruth 4)
  • Ten Virgins (5 wise, 5 foolish).
  • Ten lost tribes of Israel.
  • Wicked Haman had TEN sons. (Esther 9:12)
  • Tenth generation represented whole. (Dt. 23:3)
  • Ten generations from Adam to Noah.
  • Minyan is made complete with 10 men.
  • Ten Days of Awe between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.
  • Day of Atonement falls on 10th day of Tishrei.
  • In the Parable of the Lost Coin (Luke 15:8-10), the woman has a total of TEN silver coins. (Silver is the metal/color of redemption.) When she loses one, she lights a lamp and sweeps the HOUSE, until she finds the lost coin. Then, she and the entire community rejoices at finding the “lost” coin.
  • The beast that the harlot rides in Revelation has 7 heads and TEN horns as does the fourth beast in Daniel’s night visions (Dan.7). The horns represent wicked kings or rulers (authority).

“Thus says the LORD of hosts, ‘In those days ten men from all the nations will grasp the garment of a Jew, saying, “Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.”‘” (Zec. 8:23 NASB)

YAH gave us the 10 Commandments that were a reflection of HIS expectations of mankind and as a way to represent HIS holiness.  The first four are vertical (towards YAH) and the last six are horizontal (human relations).  Couldn’t there have been more than 10 Commandments?  Why not 15 or 20?  The fact is that the 10 Commandments, if kept, would be all that society would require to live in peace and harmony with both YAH and mankind.  The number 10 seems to reflect YAH’S authority or YAH’S governmental rule over the affairs of mankind.  This is seen elsewhere as in the 10 elders that were placed in most of the city gates of Israel (Ruth 4:2) so the number 10 also seems to represents man’s responsibility of obedience to YAH’S law.

Such a number seems to indicate the law, responsibility and a completeness of order in both divine and human structures of society.

Some scholars see 10 as the number of divine perfection.

20: Biblical/Spiritual Implications

Twenty (20), which is one more than nineteen, is twice ten and can, at times, mean a complete or perfect waiting period.

For 20 years Ya’akov/Jacob a.k.a Y’isra’EL/Israel waited to get possession of his wives and property, and to be freed from the control of Laban his father-in-law (Genesis 31:38 – 41).

For 20 years the children of Israel waited to be freed of Jabin, king of Canaan, who oppressed them. YAH Almighty responsed by raising up Devorah/Deborah and Barak, who freed the people from bondage (Judges 4 – 5).

In the days of Sh’mu’EL/Samuel, YAH’S Holy Prophet, the P’lishti/Philistines battled and overcame Israel, taking the Ark of the Covenant back to their land. The Ark brought such calamities on the Philistines that after seven months they gave it back to the Israelites. It ended up in the city of Kirjath-jearim, which is several miles west of Jerusalem. Israel had to wait at least twenty years (1 Samuel 5 – 7) before the Ark would be moved again.

19: Biblical/Spiritual Implications

The number 19, which is the combining of 10 and 9, usually denotes YAH’S Perfect Order in regard to HIS Judgment in the Holy Biblical Scriptures.

The names “Job” and “Eve”, if we substitute letters for numbers, add up to 19.

What does the number 19 mean in relation to Israel?

The United Kingdom split into two pieces after the death of Solomon.

The piece referred to as Israel, or the Northern Ten Tribes, had Jeroboam as their first king (930 to 909 B.C.). Judah’s first king was Rehoboam (930 to 913 B.C.).

Including Jeroboam, Israel was ruled by nineteen (19) kings before YAH allowed them to be conquered by the Assyrians. They were conquered and taken out of the land as captives due to their many sins against the Eternal.

Appearances of the number nineteen (19)

Discovered in 1947, the Dead Sea Scrolls were found east of Jerusalem. Among all the scrolls unearthed over the years, nineteen copies of Isaiah the prophet have been identified. Of the ten most frequently mentioned women in the Bible, Mary (Jesus’ mother) is listed 19 times.

Nahor, the father of Terah, lived one hundred and nineteen years after he begat Abraham’s father (Genesis 11:25). He lived to the ripe old age of 148. The number 19 itself appears only three times in the Bible (Genesis 11:25, Joshua 19:38 and 2Samuel 2:30).

The number nineteen (19) and Prophecy

The Israelite tribe of Naphtali received 19 cities, with their villages, as part of their inheritance in the Promised Land (Joshua 19:38). Their gift of land, from YAH Almighty, was in the northern most part of what would become Israel. It encompassed the entire western section of the Sea of Galilee.

Isaiah prophesied that the land of Naphtali and Zebulon would someday see a shining beacon in their lands (Isaiah 9:1 – 2). This prophecy, which only the book of Matthew records as being fulfilled, came true during the life of YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH.

Matthew states:

“The people who were sitting in darkness have seen a great light; and to those who were sitting in the realm and shadow of death, light has sprung up.” (Matthew 4:16, HBFV).

The fulfillment of this prophecy related to 19 occurred when Mashiach/Messiah (a.k.a Christ), who had lived in Nazareth all his life, moved at the age of 30 to the Galilean city of Capernaum. Once in the city he started HIS ministry and began to preach the Gospel (Matthew 4:14 – 17).

Additional info on the Biblical Meaning of 19

The Hebrew calendar is the Biblical method for determining when YAH’S  seven annual Feast days should be kept. It was the calendar that YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH, the apostles, and the early church considered authoritative concerning when to keep such celebrations as:

Passover, Pentecost, and the Feast of Trumpets (Calendar of Christ and Apostles by C. Franklin, revised 2004).

This method of tracking time is based on a repeating 19 year time cycle. The Hebrew civil calendar adds an additional month (making 13 months total) in years 3, 6, 8, 11, 14, 17 and 19 of each cycle. Such leap periods are necessary in order to help the lunar and solar years stay in sync. Postponement rules are also used to declare the first day of each civil year.

Psalm number 19, written by King David, declares that the heavens and everything else humans see is a living testament to the existence, glory and power of YAH Almighty.

The Apostle Paul reiterates this fact in verse 19 of Romans 1 when he writes, “Because that which may be known of GOD is manifest among them, for GOD has manifested it to them” (HBFV).

2019: Biblical/Spiritual Implications – A Study of the Hebrew letters “Zayin,” “Yod” and “Tet”

In relation to the year 2019, it is good to note that the zayin letter is the 19th in the Hebrew alphabet. We’re to study the “Zayin” letter however we would also have to study the “yod” letter (10th) and “tet” letter (9th) in the Hebrew alphabet.

Isaiah 60 Names of God Bible (NOG)

The Lord Will Be Jerusalem’s Glory

60 Arise! Shine! Your light has come,
and the glory of Yahweh has dawned.
Darkness now covers the earth,
and thick darkness covers the nations.
    But Yahweh dawns,
and his glory appears over you.
Nations will come to your light,
and kings will come to the brightness of your dawn.

“Look up, look around, and watch.
All of your people assemble and come to you.
Your sons come from far away.
Your daughters are carried in their arms.
Then you will see this and rejoice,
and your heart will be thrilled with joy,
because the riches of the sea will be brought to you.
The wealth of the nations will come to you.

“Many camels will cover your land,
young camels from Midian and Ephah.
    Everyone from Sheba will come.
They will bring gold and incense.
They will sing the praises ofYahweh.
All of the flocks from Kedar will gather and come to you.
The rams of Nebaioth will serve you.
They will be sacrificed as acceptable offerings on my altar.
So I will honor my beautiful temple.

“Who are these people that fly by like clouds,
    like doves to their nests?
Certainly, the coastlands wait with hope for me.
The ships from Tarshish are the first to bring your children
        from far away.
Their silver and their gold comes with them
to honor the name of Yahwehyour ElohimQedosh Yisrael,
            because he has honored you.

10 “Foreigners will rebuild your walls,
and their kings will serve you.
In my anger I struck you,
but in my favor I have compassion on you.
11 Your gates will always be open.
They will never be closed day or night
so that people may bring you the wealth of nations,
with their kings led as prisoners.
12 Nations and kingdoms that do not serve you will be destroyed.
The nations will certainly be ruined.

13 “Lebanon’s glory will come to you:
Cedar, fir, and cypress trees will come to beautify my holy place,
and I will honor the place where my feet rest.
14 The descendants of those who oppress you will bow in front of you.
All who despise you will bow at your feet.
They will call you the city of Yahweh,
Zion, the city of Qedosh Yisrael.

15 “You have been abandoned and hated; no one has passed through you.
But now I will make you a source of everlasting pride,
        a joy for all generations.
16 You will drink milk from other nations
    and nurse at royal breasts.
Then you will know that I amYahweh, your Savior,
the Mighty One of Jacob, yourGo’el.
17 I will bring gold instead of bronze.
I will bring silver instead of iron,
bronze instead of wood, and iron instead of stone.
I will appoint peace as your governor and righteousness as your ruler.
18 No longer will you hear about violence in your land
or desolation and destruction within your borders.
You will call your walls Salvation and your gates Praise.
19 The sun will no longer be your light during the day,
nor will the brightness of the moon give you light,
But Yahweh will be your everlasting light.
Your Elohim will be your glory.
20 Your sun will no longer go down,
    nor will your moon disappear.
Yahweh will be your everlasting light,
and your days of sadness will be over.
21 Then all your people will be righteous,
and they will possess the land permanently.
They will be the seedling I have planted,
the honored work of my hands.
22 The smallest of them will become a family.
The weakest of them will become a mighty nation.
At the right time I, Yahweh, will make it happen quickly.”
