Today, we commemorate YAHUSHUA’S Ascension to the Heavens!

What happened on Ascension Day? Let us look into the Holy Biblical Scriptures:
Acts 1:6-11 New Living Translation
The Ascension of YAHUSHUA (JESUS)
6 So when the apostles were with YAHUSHUA (JESUS), they kept asking him, “LORD, has the time come for you to free Israel and restore our kingdom?”
7 HE replied, “The FATHER alone has the authority to set those dates and times, and they are not for you to know. 8 But you will receive power when the HOLY SPIRIT comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
9 After saying this, HE was taken up into a cloud while they were watching, and they could no longer see him. 10 As they strained to see HIM rising into heaven, two white-robed men suddenly stood among them. 11 “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why are you standing here staring into heaven? YAHUSHUA (JESUS) has been taken from you into heaven, but someday HE will return from heaven in the same way you saw him go!”
YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH had HIS final face-to-face/panim-a-panim conversation with HIS disciples in HIS earthly body (human form) on the Mount of Olives which is also known as the Olive Grove. Prior to this, close to here, HE was arrested in preparation for HIS crucifixion, death and resurrection. What are the implications of Mount Olives? Why there?
The Mount of Olives or Mount Olivet (Hebrew: הַר הַזֵּיתִים, Har ha-Zeitim; Arabic: جبل الزيتون, الطور, Jabal al-Zaytun, Al-Tur) is a mountain ridge east of and adjacent to Jerusalem’s Old City. It is named for the olive groves that once covered its slopes.

Olives are known for producing oil (Olive Oil). They go through a process of being hard-pressed in order to produce the oil. The oil takes 8 days to produce as we have learned through the Festival of Chanukah (Hanukkah)/Dedication & Lights story. YAHUSHUA was crushed for 3 days after which HE came out triumphant over all evil! HE made a way for us where there seemed to be no way.
The same place where YAHUSHUA was arrested and the beginning of HIS crushing, HE ascended into the Heavens. HE returned to HIS Heavenly ABBA/FATHER with good news. Upon HIS Ascension, HE was Glorified. HE obtained a Glorified body.

Vision of the SON of YAH/ELOHIM (not Man)

YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH made way for us to receive the RUACH HA KODESH (WISDOM, COMFORTER, DIVINE PRESENCE OF YAH, HELPER, PEACE/SHALOM, ADVOCATE) into our spiritual bodies.

I find it interesting that as YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH is about to introduce the subject of RUACH HA KODESH, HE firstly talks about HIS Commandments. What does this tell us?
RUACH HA KODESH (HOLY SPIRIT) whose Name from the foundations of the earth is SHKINYINYAH GLORY has a strong connection with YAH’S Commandments.
THERE IS A VERY STRONG RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN YAH’S COMMANDMENTS AND RUACH HA KODESH and interestingly, THEY ARE BOTH GIVEN TO US ON THE SAME DAY – SHAVU’OT/WEEKS/PENTECOST!
Both RUACH HA KODESH and the Ten Commandments/TORAH are a seal of betrothal and marriage to YAH Almighty!

Why ascend to the Heavens on the 40th day and why allow 10 days preparation for the in-filling of RUACH HA KODESH?
Well, YAH knows best in full.
The Meaning of Number 40:
Mentioning 146 times in Scripture, the number 40 generally symbolizes a period of testing, trial or probation.
During Moses’ life he lived forty years in Egypt and forty years in the desert before YAH selected him to lead his people out of slavery.
Moses was also on Mount Sinai for 40 days and nights, on two separate occasions (Exodus 24:18, 34:1 – 28), receiving YAH’S laws. He also sent spies, for forty days, to investigate the land YAH promised the Israelites as an inheritance (Numbers 13:25, 14:34).
The prophet Jonah powerfully warned ancient Nineveh, for forty days, that its destruction would come because of its many sins.
The prophet Ezekiel laid on YAH’S right side for 40 days to symbolize Judah’s sins (Ezekiel 4:6).
Elijah went 40 days without food or water at Mount Horeb.
YAHUSHUA was tempted by the devil not just three times, but many times during the 40 days and nights HE fasted just before HIS ministry began. HE also appeared to HIS disciples and others for 40 days after HIS resurrection from the dead.
The number forty can also represent a generation of man. Because of their sins after leaving Egypt, YAH swore that the generation of Israelites who left Egyptian bondage would not enter their inheritance in Canaan (Deuteronomy 1). The children of Israel were punished by wandering the wilderness for 40 years before a new generation was allowed to possess the promised land.
YAHUSHUA, just days before HIS crucifixion, prophesied the total destruction of Jerusalem (Matthew 24:1 – 2, Mark 13:1 – 2). Forty years after his crucifixion in 30 A.D., the mighty Roman Empire destroyed the city and burned its beloved temple to the ground.
How does the number 40 relate to humility?
YAH allowed the ancient Israelites, from time to time, to be harassed and dominated by certain enemies in order to chastise and humble them for their sins.
The Philistines, in the southern and western parts of Israel’s land, harassed them from 1105 to 1065 B.C. YAH’S resolution to the harassment was Samson (see Judges 13:1, 1 Samuel 7:13, 15 – 17).
Additional info on the Biblical Meaning of 40
The Bible was written by forty different people.
Those called of YAH NOW are under probation, or judgment, based on how they live by every word of YAH.
In summary, the number 40 signifies:
- testing
- trial
- humility
- probation
- judgement
We can conclude that YAH chose Day 40 for YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH to ascend to the Heavens because HIS best friends whom HE was to leave behind, that is HIS disciples would live, lives of testing, trial, probation, humility and judgement until they passed on to eternity. The same goes for us who have accepted YAH’S Salvation and walk faithfully in YAHUSHUA’S footsteps.
YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH had deposited so much in them and then commanded them to spread HIS Gospel to the uttermost ends of the earth. This was their coommission.
The next question is to answer is: Why 10 days of preparation for receiving RUACH HA KODESH?
The Meaning of Number 10:
In the Bible, the number 10 is used 242 times. The designation “10th” is used 79 times. Ten is also viewed as a complete and perfect number, as is 3, 7 and 12. It is made up of 4, the number of the physical creation, and 6, the number of man. As such, 10 signifies testimony, law, responsibility and the completeness of order.
In Genesis 1 we find the phrase “ELOHIM (YAH) said” 10 times, which is a testimony of HIS Creative Power. ELOHIM gave the 10 Commandments to man. Ten therefore represents man’s responsibility to keep the commandments.
A tithe is a 10th of our earnings and is a testimony of our faith in the LORD YAHUVEH (YAHWEH).
The Passover LAMB was selected on day 10 of the 1st month (Exodus 12:3), as was YAHUSHUA, the LAMB that takes away the sins of the world (John 12:28 – 29; 1 Corinthians 5:7).
Day 10 of the 7th month is also the Holy Day known as the Day of Atonement. This unique day of fasting pictures the removal of Satan, the author of sin, before the Millennial reign of YAHUSHUA begins (Revelation 20:1 – 2).
The last great world-ruling kingdom of man under Satan is symbolized prophetically by the 10 toes of Daniel 2 and the 10 horns of Revelation 13 and 17.
How is the number 10 related to the Exodus?
The 10 plagues YAH sent on ancient Egypt, in order to free HIS people, represented HIS complete and total judgment of the pagan empire.
- The Nile River is turned into blood
- Plague of Frogs
- Plague of Lice
- Swarms of Beasts
- Plague on the Cattle
- Boils
- Great storm of hail, thunder and lightening
- Locusts
- Darkness over the entire land for three days
- The death of the firstborn of both man and beast
According to John 14, RUACH HA KODESH is to constantly (amongst other things) guide us by reminding us of YAH’S instructions (TORAH/Law/WORD) so that we don’t go in the wrong direction.
In summary, Number 10 represents:
- testimony
- Law/TORAH/Instruction
- responsibility
- completeness of order
Note that ten commandments were given to us on Mount Sinai on SHAVU’OT/Weeks which is 10 days from the day of YAHUSHUA’S Ascension.
- What I gather from this study of number 10 is that, for each day of preparation, the Disciples of YAHUSHUA who waited on the infilling of RUACH HA KODESH were to spend some time each day in repenting for transgressing against YAH – one commandment per day for ten days.
- 10 days of preparation because they would bear a great testimony to give to the rest of the world as we saw in Acts 2:14-39.
Matthew 28:18-20 New King James Version
18 And YAHUSHUA came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to ME in heaven and on earth. 19 Go [a]therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the FATHER and of the SON and of the RUACH HA KODESH, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” [b]Amen.
- 10 days of preparation also speak of the responsibility that the disciples would bear as a result of receiving RUACH HA KODESH on SHAVU’OT. This is what YAHUSHUA said to them:

8 But you shall receive power when the RUACH HA KODESH has come upon you; and you shall be [a]witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
What appears as growth and progression is our increasing awareness of what has always been spiritually true. It is the law of divine completeness being manifested in our human experience. Completeness is not just a theoretical or intellectual concept. It is practical and provable in our everyday lives.
YAHUSHUA’S followers were left with great responsibilities. They sacrificed a lot to fulfil YAH’S Destiny set for them. They endeavoured to please YAH Almighty. They obeyed YAHUSHUA. They stayed in YAHrushalayim/Jerusalem in order to receive ABBA YAHUVEH’S (YAHWEH’S) Promise. ABBA YAHUVEH fulfilled HIS WORD! When they received ABBA YAHUVEH’S Promise, they changed, for example, Peter was very fearful and timid before receiving RUACH HA KODESH however when RUACH HA KODESH came upon him, Peter changed. He become very bold in an amazing way. RUACH HA KODESH presence in YAHUSHUA’S disciples caused pandemonium in Israel. A Great Revival/Awakening began in Israel and spread to the rest of the world. Those who rejected YAH’S Salvation and RUACH HA KODESH manifestation in YAH’S People started various battles against the believers in YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH. Sadly, many lost their lives.
We that have accepted YAH’S Salvation and received RUACH HA KODESH and are endeavouring to walk faithfully in HIS footsteps have a responsibility also. We will be persecuted heavily particularly in these end times.

We need a great outpouring of RUACH HA KODESH in our lives and world wide.
We need YAH’S intervention in this season of Satan’s darkness (pandemic).

Pesach a.k.a Passover this year fell on sun-down Wednesday 8th April to sun-down Friday 10th April. The FirstFruits festival this year was celebrated on sun-down Saturday 11th April 2020.
Interestingly, also, in this Roman Gregorian Calendar year 2020, Prophet Elisheva EliYAHU (Elisabeth Elijah) – YAH’S Elijah of new according to Malachai 4:5-6 had her birthday fall on a Shabbat which also happened to be the 10th day of the month of Nisan/Aviv on the Hebrew Calendar year 5780.
On the 10th day, YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH was unknowingly selected as the suitable LAMB (perfect) to be sacrificed unto ABBA YAHUVEH 4 days later (on the Passover festival).
During Pesach/Passover as well as on Shabbat weekly, it is tradition to cry unto YAH Almighty to bring HIS Elijah/EliYAHU of new so that the end can come and our liberation can fully manifest physically in this earthly world. The link below gives some useful information:
