sun-down Friday 20th to sun-down Saturday 21st July 2018.
Tisha B’Av a.k.a 9th Av is on YAH’S weekly Sabbath this year 2018/5778 but will be observed on the day after which is 10th Av.
This week is Shabbat Chazon, the Sabbath of Vision. It is called this because the Haftarah/Haftorah reading on the Shabbat preceding Tisha B’Av is from Isaiah 1, which begins, “The vision [chazon] of Isaiah son of Amoz . . .” In this passage YAH accuses Israel of just going through the motions. They are living their lives far from YAHUVEH and steeped in wrongdoing, but are expecting HIM to accept their acts of devotion. HE will have none of it.

1 The vision of Isaiah son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah:
A Nation Sick With Sin
2 Listen! Heavens, and hear, earth,
for Adonai has spoken:
“Sons I have raised and brought up,
but they have rebelled against Me.
3 The ox knows its owner,
and the donkey its manger,
but Israel does not know,
My people do not understand.”4 Oy, a sinful nation,

They have abandoned Adonai.

13 Bring no more worthless offerings!
Incense is an abomination to Me.

nor does a widow’s case come to them.24 Therefore says the Lord Adonai-Tzva’ot,
the Mighty One of Israel:
“Oy! I will get relief from My foes
and avenge Myself on My enemies.
25 Then I will turn My hand on you,
purge away your dross,
and remove all your alloy.
26 I will restore your judges as at first,
your counselors as at the start.
Afterward you will be called
City of Righteousness, Faithful City.
27 Zion will be redeemed with justice,
her repentant with righteousness.”28 But there will be a crushing of transgressors and sinners together.
Forsaking Adonai, they will be consumed.
29 For they will be ashamed of the sacred oaks
that you desired,
and embarrassed because of the gardens
that you have chosen.30 For you will be like an oak of withering leaf,
like a garden that has no water.
31 So the strong will become tinder
and his work like a spark—
both will burn together,
and no one will quench them.
It is a requirement in the TORAH of all males in particular (but women are not excluded) must appear before YAH three times yearly for the pilgrimage moedim/set times or appointments as per (Exodus 23:17).

17 Three times in the year all your men are to appear before AdonaiElohim.
Jewish law also stipulates that if one is blind in one or both eyes, he should not appear before YAH at those times (b.Chagigah 5b). It is interpreted/understood that this mitzvah/command, “to appear before YAH” uses the Hebrew word yera’eh, which means “will appear.” But, since the Hebrew text does not contain vowels, this word could also be read as yireh, meaning “will see.” Since a blind or partially blind person cannot fully see, he is exempt from this mitzvah.
What does this imply in relation to this Sabbath?
Well, firstly, ask yourself what the point of appearing before YAH is? Isn’t it to have fellowship with YAH and in the process have revelations of and from YAH Almighty! If one is blind in any way and most particularly spiritually, it would be difficult for them to see YAH, that is to say, have a vision of YAH unless YAH intervenes by opening their eyes.
Note that the three times of appearing before YAH yearly on HIS moedim are a means to be seen by YAH as well as to see YAH. We are to pant for this in our daily lives, not just three times yearly!!!
This Shabbat is also called “Devarim/Words,” which is also about pursing YAH panting after YAH no matter what! At the same time, it is the Sabbath of “Vision.” Can you connect the two? This is a Sabbath of Deliverance from various forms of bondage to Satan, for example spiritual blindness, evil cycles/patterns, etc! The two names for this Sabbath are very much connected and it is interesting that they appear on exactly the same day this year (2018)!
Throughout the Book of Yeshayahu/Isaiah, we see the Prophet having a series of visions. The one that stands out to the most is the one recorded in Isaiah 6. We are meant to be like him.

Judah’s Encounter with Adonai
6 In the year of King Uzziah’s death, I saw Adonai sitting on a throne, high and lifted up,[a] and the train of His robe filled the Temple. 2 Seraphim were standing above Him. “Holy, holy, holy, is Adonai-Tzva’ot!

King Uzziah had to die for YAHudah/Judah (Kingdom) to see or have an encounter with the LORD YAHUVEH!
Additionally,
King Uzzuah had to die in order for Yeshayahu Ha Navi/Prophet Isaiah!
Hmmmm…..Interesting!
If we “trample” YAH’S courts by just going through the motions (not genuine or heartfelt) as Israel did, then we will neither be seen by YAH nor see YAH. We will have no communion, no connection with YAH!
Today, can be Shabbat Chazon or Black Shabbat—a day of vision and seeing, or a day of darkness and blindness.

This Sabbath is also called “Devarim/Words!” This is where we are given a glimpse into our future, we are reminded of our history as mankind with YAH and afterwards warned against repeating mistakes that can cost us a place in the Shammayim/Heavens!
The Book of Deuteronomy/Sefer Ha Devarim is all about worship! How do you worship YAHUVEH, YAHUSHUA and SHKINYINYAH GLORY Almighty?
“Shabbat Devarim” ties in well with “Tisha B’Av” as it gives some good answers to how to break, destroy and reverse the Tisha B’Av curse(s).

“Curse” in Hebrew is: “KELALAH.”
The Book of Deuteronomy/Sefer Ha Devarim makes it very clear that the opposite of “BLESSINGS” is “Curses.”
“BLESSINGS” in Hebrew is: “BERAKHOT.”
“BLESSING” in Hebrew is: “BERAKHAH.”
If The Month of Av is known to the Orthodox Jews as the “Month of Curses or a Curse,” that implies that it is “originally meant to be a Month of Great Blessings!”

Here, we focus on praying against the Curse and Evil Cycle/Pattern!
Jabez was leading a cursed life but YAH turned his life around after praying a simple prayer as per 1 Chronicles 4:9-10.

How much more power and authority do we bear, we in this generation against Satan and all his evil against us, we that have the weapon of the mighty and precious Blood of YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH as a result of HIS sacrifice for us all?
There is Great and Mighty Power in the Name above all names which is YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH and HIS precious Blood!!!
You / We do not have to be sad any longer on Tisha B’Av! You/We do not have to mourn any more! 🤣😂
Yes, great evils have taken place throughout the history of Tisha B’Av but we do not have to dwell on that and mourn! It all started with a lack or TESHUVAH/Repentance!
Let us, instead treat Tisha B’Av like Yom Kippur by spending time in Teshuvah and Tefillah as well as Thanksgiving unto ABBA YAHUVEH, YAHUSHUA A MASHIACH and SHKINYINYAH GLORY Almighty! In all things, we give thanks and praises unto YAH Almighty!
The Curse and Evil Pattern/Evil Cycle of Tisha B’Av can be broken and destroyed by YAHUSHUA’S mighty and precious Blood but you have to repent first so as to close every avenue/door/gate that satan has a foothold and/or stronghold to you/us in order to successfully attack then break and destroy the curse as well as evil pattern/cycle of 9th Av!!!

Shabbat Chazon / שבת חזון
Shabbat Chazon (“Sabbath [of] vision” שבת חזון) takes its name from the Haftarah that is read on the Shabbat immediately prior to the mournful fast of Tisha B’Av, from the words of rebuke and doom coming from Isaiah in the Book of Isaiah 1:1-27. It is also referred to as the Black Sabbath due to its status as the saddest Shabbat of the year (as opposed to the White Sabbath, Shabbat Shuvah, immediately precededing Yom Kippur).
Shabbat Chazon begins at sundown on Fri, 20 July 2018.

This may be a Black Sabbath to the Orthodox Jews, but we Messianic Jews and most particularly in this Ministry, do not recognise any Sabbath as a dark one!
YAH’S Sabbath is a day of joy/rejoicing and rest of mind!!! Let YAH have HIS way!

Water this prayer throughout the rest of the month of Av as YAH leads you to! You can water it by spending time in Praise and Worship and Thanksgiving consistently before YAH Almighty as a sign of emunah/faith in YAH that HE has already done it and that it will manifest physically in time!
This year, Tisha B’av is commemorated on Sunday, July 22, which is the tenth of Av. The ninth of Av, Tisha B’av, falls on Shabbat, when it is not appropriate to fast and mourn, so it is delayed one day.
