MELCHIZEDEK WAS A PRIEST and YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH became a HIGH PRIEST like HIM. YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH was further promoted by YAHUVEH to GREAT HIGH PRIEST because HE used HIS OWN BLOOD TO atone for HIS People (HE did not use the blood of animals)!

So, MELCHIZEDEK receives TITHES from People as a form of appreciation to YAH ALMIGHTY!

There are many around you who need to hear about YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH’S Testimony, accept it, take it upon themselves and also begin to proclaim it to others! Many are so busy with the cares of this world 🌎 that they are forgetting about the GREAT HIGH PRIEST, YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH!

*MELCHIZEDEK is a Hebrew Word meaning: KING OF RIGHTEOUSNESS!*

RIGHTEOUSNESS means RIGHT STANDING WITH YAH ALMIGHTY!

HOLINESS and RIGHTEOUSNESS go together but they are 2 different things.

*HOLINESS is an act on our part with YAH’S Guidance and Help whereas RIGHTEOUSNESS is acquired from YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH when we accept and believe in HIM!* HOLINESS relates to our Conduct, Appearance, How we interact with people around us, How we treat YAH’S various INSTRUCTIONS, etc…

*Hebrews 5:6 is a quote of Psalm 110:4 talking about Abraham as well as YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH (JESUS CHRIST; not Yeshua!). Interestingly, this statement is further repeated in Hebrews 7:17!*

Interestingly also, Abraham’s strong Faith in and obedience without reservation to YAH SHADDAI was counted to him as RIGHTEOUSNESS!

*Who was this MELCHIZEDEK? What sort of PRIEST was he, and why did Abraham give him a TITHE?*

Taken alone, this tiny anecdote does indeed seem strange. The TORAH tells us nothing else about this man and his relationship to Abraham!

*MELCHIZEDEK IS SHEM (One of Noah’s 3 sons and the most prominent of them all)!* IT WAS THROUGH SHEM’S LINEAGE THAT ABRAHAM CAME TO THIS EARTHLY WORLD!

*SHEM’S name in the Hebrew language spells GREATNESS OF A VERY HIGH LEVEL! His name bears the Hebrew letters Shin and Mem.*
👍From letter Shin, we get words like SHADDAI (MIGHTY) and SHABBAT (REST).
👍Letter Mem means KING OVER THE WATER!

Shem is recorded as:
*Shem was one of the links in the chain who transmitted the GODLY traditions that originated with Adam. These traditions were carefully handed down from Generation to Generation, and Shem—who HEADED AN ACADEMY —was a KEY CONDUCTOR of these Teachings. He was so perfect and so spiritually advanced that he was BORN CIRCUMCISED.*

MELCHIZEDEK Is the One whom Abraham blessed after gaining victory over the 4 Kings who had started a battle against him (Abraham and Lot).

When MELCHIZEDEK was pronouncing the blessing, he said:

“Melchizedek the king of Salem brought out bread and wine, and he was a priest to the MOST HIGH GOD, YAH. And [MELCHIZEDEK] blessed him, and he said,

*”Blessed be Abram to the MOST HIGH GOD, YAH —Who possesses Heaven and earth—and blessed be the MOST HIGH GOD, YAH, Who has delivered your adversaries into your hand.”*

And [Abram] gave him a tithe from all.”

So why did the priesthood pass from Shem MELCHIZEDEK to Abraham’s children?
*This happened as a result of his having blessed Abraham before blessing YAH in the verses above.* This is reflected in the next place in SCRIPTURE where MELCHIZEDEK is mentioned: 

Psalm 110:4 in the Hebrew Bibles translated to English reads as follows:

*”. . . you are a priest forever because of the speech of MELCHIZEDEK.”*

Because of MELCHIZEDEK’S ill-chosen speech, the PRIESTHOOD was taken from him and given to the Seed of Abraham forever.

*At first glance it seems problematic to say that the PRIESTHOOD was taken from the progeny of Shem and given to the Seed of Abraham, as Abraham himself was a grandson of Shem.*

The PRIESTHOOD was taken from the entire clan of Shem and became the exclusive privilege of Abraham’s seed.

Natural progression would have conferred Shem’s status on his firstborn descendants—not Abraham. Thus, it was only because of this encounter that the PRIESTHOOD was given to Abraham specifically.

*The PRIESTHOOD of Abraham’s seed was now only by merit of the righteous Abraham and not due to their relation to Shem—which is why they are the only descendants of Shem deemed worthy of honour.*

YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH (JESUS CHRIST; not Yeshua!) also became MELCHIZEDEK in an interesting way. The reason for saying this is, that HE was BORN in the Tribe of YAHUdah (Judah)! PRIESTHOOD had been given to the Tribe of Levi starting with Aharon /(Aaron)!

Even Pinchas (Phinehas), a grandson of Levi was highly rewarded with PRIESTHOOD in his Generation as a result of his brave act of killing an Israelite man having sexual intercourse with a Moabite woman after walking past Moses with her and the rest of the Israelites who were in the process of pleading with YAH ALMIGHTY to have Mercy on them and deliver them from the plague that was spreading in their camp and killing many Israelites.

*YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH ended up becoming more than a HIGH PRIEST! HE was promoted to GREAT HIGH PRIEST! No other since!*

Abraham was a Priest and Prophet!

YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH came to earth 🌎 in human flesh as Abraham’s Descendant!
