LESSON From This TORAH Portion:
Joshua 1:9 Names of God Bible (NOG)
9 “I have commanded you, ‘Be strong and courageous! Don’t tremble or be terrified, because Yahweh your Elohim is with you wherever you go.’”
Galatians 5:1 World English Bible (WEB)
5 Stand firm therefore in the liberty by which MASHIACH (a.k.a CHRIST) has made us free, and don’t be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.
Philippians 4:1-13 Common English Bible (CEB)
Stand firm in the LORD (YAHUSHUA a.k.a JESUS)
4 Therefore, my brothers and sisters whom I love and miss, who are my joy and crown, stand firm in the LORD (YAHUSHUA).
Loved ones, 2 I urge Euodia and I urge Syntyche to come to an agreement in the LORD (YAHUSHUA). 3 Yes, and I’m also asking you, loyal friend, to help these women who have struggled together with me in the ministry of the gospel, along with Clement and the rest of my coworkers whose names are in the scroll of life.
4 Be glad in the LORD (YAHUSHUA) always! Again I say, be glad! 5 Let your gentleness show in your treatment of all people. The LORD (YAHUSHUA) is near. 6 Don’t be anxious about anything; rather, bring up all of your requests to ELOHIM (GOD) in your prayers and petitions, along with giving thanks. 7 Then the peace of ELOHIM (GOD) that exceeds all understanding will keep your hearts and minds safe in YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH (CHRIST JESUS).
8 From now on, brothers and sisters, if anything is excellent and if anything is admirable, focus your thoughts on these things: all that is true, all that is holy, all that is just, all that is pure, all that is lovely, and all that is worthy of praise. 9 Practice these things: whatever you learned, received, heard, or saw in us. The ELOHIM (GOD)of peace will be with you.
Ephesians 6:14-16 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
14 Stand firm therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the Gospel of Peace(Shalom); 16 [a]in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
Psalm 1 Names of God Bible (NOG)
BOOK ONE
(Psalms 1–41)
Psalm 1
1 Blessed is the person who does not
follow the advice of wicked people,
take the path of sinners,
or join the company of mockers.
2 Rather, he delights in the teachings of Yahweh
and reflects on his teachings day and night.
3 He is like a tree planted beside streams—
a tree that produces fruit in season
and whose leaves do not wither.
He succeeds in everything he does.[a]4 Wicked people are not like that.
Instead, they are like husks that the wind blows away.
5 That is why wicked people will not be able to stand in the judgment
and sinners will not be able to stand where righteous people gather.6 Yahweh knows the way of righteous people,
but the way of wicked people will end.
